We recently connected with Sage Gable and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Sage thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’ve all been there before where things are tight financially and we start asking ourselves in the small/simple joys like a cup of coffee is worth it. Have you had an experience like this and if so how did you think about this sort of spending?
Let’s talk about starting up.
Most entrepreneurs who vision building a Fortune 100 company never explain what the start-up is like. Especially starting with no capital. I believe it’s all a mindset. Starting out when you have no capital, you must have an All-In mindset. When I was first starting out, I had a couple personal credit cards that I used to purchase marketing material, run Ads, set up a website and pay for insurance. As you start to run up the balance on the credit card putting yourself in debt, it puts you in a fight or flight mentality to make the cash back as fast as possible (at least for me it does). This acts as a motivational shove to not give up and pay off debt.
Ill break down the Pros and Cons of what this start-up method carries:
Pros:
-You keep all ownership of your company instead of trading equity for capital
-Payments are drawn out over time which allows you to leverage balances, revenue and cash while you build your brand
-You have access to a small amount of capital
Cons:
-Risk of credit score going down if you don’t make payments
-You owe money to the bank
-Interest Rates
If you want to start a company, you must be fully vested. This method can also be used to leverage yourself out of hard times…just be sure to make the money back.
As for the coffee, buy it. If it helps you be more productive, use it and make the $5 back!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
How did I get into construction…
Since I was 10 years old, I have had a clear vision to build and develop major cities. Tall Skyscrapers, Roadways and Bridges.
At 19 years old I came up with the idea of reaching out to local construction companies and within 6 months, offered a position to be a construction manager for a home building company. This was my exposure to the industry and picked it up quickly, learning how to build a house from the ground up. I launched my remodeling company Quire Construction in 2019 and ultimately rebranded in 2024 which is now GP Solutions.
We are focused on being the most trusted residential and commercial contracting company in Texas. This takes a team of people that share the same vision for what we want to provide for our clients.
GP Solutions has partnered up with Hicks Design & Build to open a store front location on HW 242 in The Woodlands, Tx area. Our grand opening is scheduled for late January. Our exclusive products and service will be targeted for high-end customers.

Can you share one of your favorite marketing or sales stories?
Sales is one of my most favored positions in business especially when you’re building a business. It is the front end of a company and involves intense effort in developing business relationships, coordinating the deal from start to finish, maintaining those relationships and constantly on the hunt for new business prospects. When I started GP Solutions, I spent several months out in the field “door knocking” which meant going to businesses that I thought could partner with or benefit from GP Solutions. I was able to get several small remodel jobs and big leads that allowed me to meet other people that ultimately gave me work. On a random Tuesday, what felt like a normal day going out and selling has shaped a future that I’m very excited for. I went to a local backyard appliance store and met the manager of the store. As I pitched that I was a local concrete company, another one of the employees overheard my conversation and called me a day later. Since that call, he has put me in touch with someone who has the same vision for what a trusted construction company is supposed to do and look like. As of today, we are in the process of building out a brick-and-mortar design center that will take us to the next level. I am a Christian Visionary who has had a vision since I was a young boy of establishing one of the best Real Estate/Construction companies to ever exist on a global scale. The feeling of getting up, forcing yourself to put in the work is priceless. You must understand, when you made the decision to become an entrepreneur full time – you were signing up for countless days and nights or constant doubt mixed with confidence, moments when you feel like you’ve done everything you could possibly do and not know where to go, stepped into the unknown- not knowing when you’ll be paid next, if you’ll be able to pay your bills this month or not, etc.
The point of all of this, is to say two things.
-Sales is one of the most important parts of building and maintaining a growing company
-You must sacrifice your feelings, time and your 9-5 to make it big.
I hope this inspires someone to take that risk and follow that idea or vision that they have. It’s so important to keep God first and use fear as a tool, not a restraint.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
A couple credit cards and risk. I used credit cards to purchase marketing material, the website, pay for ads, the filling of the LLC and a few sponsorships to get the name out there as fast as possible.
It’s a fun but risky game to play. Shoot into the red and see how quickly you can hit green. I do recommend having some cash set aside for any unexpected occurrences when starting up.
