Sabrina, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
I worked in the corporate world all my life as you know we all go through a season in which we change and want something different. I got bit with the entrepreneur bug. As a caregiver, I wanted to allow myself to spend time with my son. I demoted myself from my full-time job after always 27 years and went part time and started a business. I still needed income coming in, but I needed to have faith in myself. I did not want to remain stagnant I knew it was not going to be easy, but nothing is. Starting a business is all about taking risk and reinventing the possibilities.
I got my business license and got some equipment for my home and starting coach special needs parents part time. Everything takes times and I started. I took a risk on me and that was the best decision I ever made.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Anyone who builds a business without God, is building their business lacking power and favor.
I had booked and was planning for my first Conference for my business. I was so excited then on February 24, 2023, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I could have easily cancelled the conference, but I prayed about it, and I just postponed it. It was supposed be in March 2023 and I moved it to October 2023. I went through several surgiest and chemotherapy while still planning my first conference and it was such a success.
Building resilience is about embracing change and building a supportive network.
Life throws curveballs and sometimes our goals take a detour. Whether it’s personal challenges or professional issues, flexibility is key. Breast Cancer did not stop me. I am Resilient.
Have you ever had to pivot?
I was coaching special needs parents and caregivers for many years. I am also a parent of a special needs adult son and his caregiver. Doing the pandemic things change. The world changed. We were all stuck at home and life was different. As we were coming out of the pandemic, I saw a shift in the system and in myself. I have been wanting to expand my business and focus on something different and decided this was the perfect time.
Although I will always be an advocate and spread awareness, I no longer work in the special education system, and I no longer coach special needs parents and caregivers. I am an author and use my platform to share stories and help others share stories as well. I do also speak and empower girls and women to push pass fear and lack of confidence. It is my passion to empower, uplift and inspire others.
Life’s Journey allows pivots. Rebranding, repositioning and redefining is sometimes necessary, it was for me.
