We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sabrina Percario. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sabrina below.
Sabrina, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
My inaugural project was “Julia,” a heartfelt tribute to my late mother, who passed away in 2014. In our final conversation, she learned of my scholarship to pursue a Master’s in Fine Art in Los Angeles. With unwavering belief, she told me, “Honey, I’ve seen it, you’re going to make it.” Her faith in me preceded my self-assurance, and it felt as though she bestowed her blessing upon me.
Two years later, I crafted a film dedicated to her memory, an expression of my profound gratitude for her unwavering support and a way to share my deep sense of loss. I credit this endeavor as the reason I continue to thrive as a filmmaker in the vibrant city of Los Angeles. This project received numerous accolades and marked my transformation into a producer, driven by the desire to create narratives that inspire and touch people’s hearts.

Sabrina, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a dedicated self-employed film producer with a proven track record in effective time management, skilled negotiation, and meticulous budgeting. Recently, I undertook a challenging project characterized by a tight budget, yet it culminated in a high-caliber film. Overseeing a team of 25 professionals, I adeptly managed vendor negotiations, contract creation, and insurance logistics. Additionally, I meticulously crafted a comprehensive shooting schedule, hired and led a proficient staff, and conducted departmental meetings.
Our current focus centers on the negotiation and forthcoming distribution of our project, “A Prodigal Feast.” We’re excited to announce that a screening of the film will be held on November 3rd at 3 p.m., hosted at AMC Santa Monica – 3.
In addition to my professional pursuits, I have a deep-rooted passion for the performing arts. This ardor has significantly enriched my understanding of human behavior and elevated my communication skills. Notably, in 2013, I received a scholarship that facilitated my pursuit of an MFA in Fine Arts in Burbank, CA, thus broadening my international exposure. Together with my dedicated business partner, Raja Deka, we established Touch A Life Productions, uniting our efforts to inspire and connect with humanity.
My journey commenced in 2013 when I secured a scholarship to pursue a Master’s in Fine Arts at the New York Film Academy. Presently, Raja and I are collaboratively engaged in the creation of two feature films, “Happy” and “Living The Dream,” both intimately inspired by our life experiences.
My work primarily revolves around:
Hiring and effectively managing production crews for clients and location shoots.
Establishing and judiciously controlling budgets for all projects.
Assiduously overseeing the production team, promptly identifying issues, and providing well-crafted solutions.
Crafting Festival Strategies to maximize project exposure.
Managing production schedules to ensure timely project delivery.
Meticulously preparing contracts and diligently finalizing paperwork.
Enlisting and coordinating talent, preparing locations, and orchestrating seamless shoots.
My journey to this point has furnished me with a unique blend of skills and experiences. My background in film production has fortified my ability to manage time, conduct successful negotiations, and steer budgets to optimal outcomes, even in challenging circumstances.
My extensive involvement in production has sharpened my communication acumen and my knack for connecting with individuals from diverse backgrounds. I’m known for my compassion and effective communication, especially in the face of adversity. Adaptability, meticulous organizational skills, and an unwavering attention to detail are integral to my approach.
I take pride in my journey of building a thriving career from the ground up, and I’m particularly gratified by my attainment of a Green Card through my dedicated work. Each of my projects carries an inspirational message or strives to raise awareness about important issues.
The core of my mission is to develop projects that resonate with and inspire audiences, conveying a powerful and positive message that can make a difference in the world.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My creative journey is driven by a specific mission and goal. I am passionate about developing projects with inspiring messages that resonate with audiences and inspire positive change. This mission is the foundation of my work as a film producer. Whether it’s creating high-quality films on a tight budget, collaborating on projects that draw from personal experiences, or promoting stories with powerful messages, my ultimate goal is to use the medium of film to connect with humanity, raise awareness about important issues, and inspire positive transformation. My work in the performing arts and my ability to effectively communicate under various circumstances have contributed to my mission of creating impactful narratives. In essence, I aim to be a catalyst for change and inspiration through the stories I tell and the projects I produce.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist and creative professional for me is the ability to make a profound impact on people’s lives through storytelling and visual art. Through my work, I have the power to inspire, connect with, and touch the hearts of audiences. Whether it’s producing a film, managing a project, or creating art, I find immense fulfillment in the knowledge that my work can bring about positive change, provoke thought, or provide solace.
Additionally, the creative process itself is inherently gratifying. It allows me to channel my passion, communicate with people from diverse backgrounds, and express complex ideas and emotions in ways that words alone cannot convey. The journey of turning a concept or vision into a tangible work of art or film is a deeply fulfilling endeavor, and seeing the end result can be incredibly satisfying.
Moreover, my personal mission to develop projects with inspiring messages adds an extra layer of reward to my creative endeavors. Knowing that I’m contributing to the world by sharing stories that matter, raising awareness of important issues, and providing inspiration to others is the driving force behind my creative journey.
In essence, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist and creative is the opportunity to create meaningful connections, foster positive change, and leave a lasting impact on both individuals and society as a whole.
