We recently connected with Rozy Morani and have shared our conversation below.
Rozy, appreciate you joining us today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
I’ve always loved putting bouquets together for the people I love, and it was actually my best friend who encouraged me to take it further and actually build a website to start selling my creations. She loves flowers as much as I do, and fittingly, she became my very first client.
Once I decided to go all in, I made a batch of sample bouquets, photographed them, and launched the business on my daughter’s birthday (a date that felt meaningful to start something new). Naming it took a while; with a name like Rozy, I went through endless puns before settling on Angel Babies Floral Company, named after the nickname I’ve always used for my two kids.
Since launching, I’ve learned that running a flower business is so much more than arranging beautiful blooms. I’ve had to learn the personality and care needs of dozens of different flowers, each with its own quirks. And beyond the creative side, I’m also the buyer, the marketing team, the customer service department, and most days, the delivery driver too. It’s been a real challenge, but one I genuinely love.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Rozy, the founder and creative behind Angel Babies Floral Company, a boutique floral studio based in the DFW area. My love for flowers started as a personal passion — I’ve always found joy in putting together bouquets for the people I care about. It was a natural extension of that love, encouraged by my best friend (and first-ever client), that turned this hobby into a business.
At Angel Babies, every arrangement is custom-made, one-of-one, for each client. I’m not pulling from a pre-set catalog. I work with each person to understand what they’re celebrating, who it’s for, and what feeling they want to convey, then I build something just for them. We also offer free local delivery, which I think makes a real difference; it adds a personal touch and takes one more thing off a client’s plate.
The problem I solve for people is twofold: first, the stress of trying to find something that feels meaningful and personal rather than generic or mass-produced. And second, the convenience factor. Life is busy, and not everyone has time to shop around for flowers, let alone deliver them. I handle all of that.
What sets Angel Babies apart is that it’s truly a one-woman operation, which means every single arrangement that goes out the door has been touched by me personally. From sourcing to design to delivery. There’s no assembly line. Clients are working directly with the person who cares about getting it right.
What I’m most proud of is the relationships I’ve built. So many of my clients come back again and again, and I love that I get to be part of their milestones. Birthdays, anniversaries, “just because” moments, and everything in between.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about Angel Babies, it’s that when you order from us, you’re not just getting flowers you’re getting something made with intention, care, and a personal touch you won’t find with a big-box florist.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Honestly, it’s come down to a combination of social media, word of mouth, and the incredible support of family and friends. In the early days, the people closest to me became my biggest advocates, sharing my work and recommending me to others. Instagram has also been a great way to showcase my arrangements and reach new people.

Does your business have multiple or supplementary revenue streams (like a ATM machine at a barbershop, etc)?
Along with our custom 1:1 floral arrangements I do flower bars at events, where guests build their own bouquets, which adds a fun, interactive element to celebrations. I’ve also done several pop-ups, a great way to connect and get Angel Babies in front of people who might not have found me otherwise. Soon we’ll be offering flower arranging classes, which feels like the natural next step for the brand.
