We were lucky to catch up with Rolexis Schinsing recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Rolexis thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Throughout my journey, I’ve encountered moments of rejection and also instances that I considered significant wins. I believe that both the challenges and opportunities I’ve faced were crucial and inevitable because they have played a vital role in shaping who I am today. In my view, success is about understanding that every milestone comes with its share of setbacks and breakthroughs. It’s about recognizing that each “no” and “yes” contributes to the overall journey. Every accomplishment signifies my perseverance and refusal to give up on my dreams, and that, to me, is true success.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
In my early years in the industry, I often found myself at the center of rejection, facing criticism about my height for modeling and being deemed too tall for certain film roles. I encountered voices within the industry suggesting that I needed to compromise my standards to succeed and even faced dismissive attitudes from those who claimed that pursuing acting was not a legitimate career. I refused to be disheartened and instead used the experience to fuel my determination to pursue my dreams. I found a new sense of confidence in myself and my abilities, which inspired me to explore other interests.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I think what’s really helped me build my reputation is that I always try to do my best and work really hard. I want people to know they can trust me, so I make sure to be reliable and always give my best effort. I also like working with others and solving problems together, which has helped me build good relationships with people. I’m always trying to learn new things and stay on top of what’s happening in my field, so I can bring fresh ideas to my work. And most importantly, I think being honest, ethical, and keeping a positive attitude has made a big difference in how people see me.
