We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Robbin Loyde a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Robbin, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
My parents have been married for 35 years sadly before my father passed away. Within those years my father showed me EVERYTHING. From fixing my own brakes, rotors, & tires, to understanding what a man likes in a woman. My mother was a STRONG leader that allowed me to be me but also, when I was wrong she TAUGHT me how to be right. I’ve been living on my own since I was 17 years old. Im 32 now. I learned if your skillful why just sit on your talents? I do it all because I was brought up to become an ‘added’ value to someone’s life. Since then I even began my real estate journey. My family is my back bone let alone my heart vessel. They keep me going, they support alllll my ideas even if they feel like it’s wrong. Everything that I do, I love.
Robbin, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I got into allll my businesses off faith. With a little faith I have accomplished A LOT. My name is Ms. Piink DuHhh and the DuHhh is for those with the lack of common sense. I grew up in the suburbs but first moving to Minnesota I had nothing. Living in abandoned homes where turning on a light involved a butter knife, my older brother and I got bullied for being quiet, smart, but did not have much at all, my parents were trying to find permanent housing for so many years. My mom got into the low income program for housing and said ‘we deserve better, we deserve more.’ Looking at how HARD they played a role with working with each other we become homeowners; showed me what faith could do. Starting Ms. Piink DuHhh isn’t just a name. It’s truly a movement. I’m never ashamed of where I came from so when others ask certain things or I begin to act a certain way I back off. Its not because I upset with my past. It’ll just stir up a conversation no one is truly ready for. My brand is for those who want to say things rather than to just think it. My brand SCREAMS DuHhh for common sense. For an example, ‘I am worth it’ DuHhh ! It’s like a little reminder of a ‘uuuuhhh yeah’ type of moment. I have created a shoeline called .. ‘DuHhh’ .. every pair symbolizes how I was feeling at the moment before being handcrafted in Italy. With my 1st shoe I got reallllly creative and created shoes for autism. My oldest child who is 9 has autism so for the love of my warrior I started a shoeline primarily just for kiddos with autism. My fighter I nicknamed ‘Rockii’ has been an inspired soul since his birth. He even has his own story to tell being born at 23 weeks. Rocky Balboa is an idol of mine. I didn’t know real strength & determination it took JUST to cross a real life finish line. That movie played as my son laid in a hospital bed fighting for his life. Then is when I shook off the feeling of ‘hurt’ and I pushed myself to love my son to his fullest potential no matter what. The doctors gave him a maximum life expectancy of 3 years. My son is 9 now ! I was raised NOT to be a quitter because faith doesn’t stop when words are exchanged, they just enhance your vision. From there on out I started doing all my heart desired. I JUST made adult shoes that celebrates autism as well. They have puzzle pieces on the bottom & are just soooo amazingly great for any occasion. With ‘DuHhh autism’s’ it sparked my creativity vein to push for greatness. Besides starting my 1st autistic shoeline for children with a corporation in Italy, I have a children’s coloring/activity book on sale currently on Amazon. It allows the reader to not only visualize the letter but with an item that has that letter in it too. Inside the book are all the items my children love going from A-Z, the reader can color the image, Trace the word, and have fun while doing it. For example, The letter A .. Is a picture of an Apple (so they can color it) with the word spelled out A P P L E (being able to trace the letters that spells that word). I never really seen books like this when teaching my kids. So I made one. This world is tough and with a sprinkle of Piink is ALWAYS necessary & needed. I have clothes, shoes, and SOME accessories that I have designed or created myself. ‘Da Guys Filmz’ started off my Tubi Acting career and I have not stopped since. I’ve been an extra for a Netflix comedy film, appeared in multiple movies & series for Tubi & YouTube. There is a movie I am starring in called ‘Blood on The Turntables’ which is premiering on November 26th, 2o25. Written by Pat Boom, Shot by Rachel GillenFilmography and I am Super excited about that. One day I thought to myself I wanted to do baptisms at our local prisons here in Minnesota. With that, I became an ordained minister which this year is my 2nd year. I have done 3 weddings & assisted with a funeral. I just love to help or truly bring life to ANY situation. So, I became an ordained minister. Minister Robbin is what I go by & I LOVE it. I love allll that I do and with just a mustard seed of faith, ALL HAS BEEN POSSIBLE.
My Modeling career has taken me to New York Fashion Week and I walked on September 19th, 2025. It was AMAZING! I just can’t see myself stopping anything now.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Honestly, follow your heart. If you want to be apart of ANY industry, you HAVE to put in that work. Go to the networking events, go to the gatherings even if it’s just to say hi. Always make yourself known. (If you have the time) Going after a dream doesn’t come a reality UNTIL it’s time to do the work. Follow groups on all sites that you see yourself being apart of and make that step. You are 1 of 1 .. show the world.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
‘You won’t always hear a yes’ no matter what you do in life. Not everyone gets a second chance at life. So be prepared to hear ‘No, Im sorry I cant help, sorry we dont need such & such’. I was told no on a few fashion shows and I KNOW im a great model, I was told NO on a few deals for my flooring contractor license, I was told no on certain ideas I had. With those No’s, I did not stop what I KNEW what was for me. I had a model coordinator tell me ‘What’s meant for YOU is meant for YOU’. That was the day I turned it up a notch. Not only did I have the blessing of Co CREATING my own fashion show with a friend. I debuted my ‘DuHhh Ms. Piink’ fashion wear, with work i sealed a bigger deal in Uptown Minneapolis for a Full Apartment complex as well in Mason city Iowa. I didn’t stop. When you KNOW your amazing at something. You give them something amazingly obvious to talk about. I had to unlearn knowing that ‘No’ is okay. For every No is a bigger YES ! As a single parent I even push this to my children.
