Rick , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later?
If I could go back in time, I probably wish I would have started my business earlier. When I started my business, I was working as a server/bartender for a cooperate restaurant. Being forced to serve my customers in a manner I did not agree with is what finally pushed me to start my own business. I simply did not want to be forced to treat my customers in way I did not approve of any longer.
The only downside to me having started my business earlier is lack of experience. If I had not of worked in the restaurant industry as long as I did, I would not have the experience of catering to customers’ needs as well as problems that I do. I am a true believer that you must adapt to the consumer interested in your services or products. For example, you would not talk to a 65-year-old person the same way as a 27-year-old person when trying to sell the something.
So, being in the restaurant industry for as long as I had most definitely prepared me to a better business owner and more understanding of the consumers wants and needs. If I could go back, yes, I would have like to have started my business earlier. However, I know deep down that I truly probably was not ready for what it takes to be successful.
I am grateful to God that he is in control, because he knew this as well and has brought along in this journey as a business owner at a speed that is truly best for me to achieve growth as both a business owner and person.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I got into the whole digital marketing industry when SEO (search engine optimization) for websites was a very big thing and search engines worked much differently than they do now. So, my first area of expertise was optimizing client’s websites so that they would rank at the top of the first page of Google search engines.
As times changed, social media grew more popular as well as having a fast loading and mobile friendly website grew more important, so I started working on getting better at content creation and website designs. From there, the company grew into offering video production and editing services and graphic design services.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
To build your local audience on social media, it is important to create high-quality content and join and engage in local Facebook groups. You want to post in the different local groups daily so that you can keep your local audience updated on your business. It is also important to respond to any comments or questions on post in the local Facebook groups. By joining, posting and engaging with people in these local Facebook groups you will be able to grow your following without having to dump a bunch of money in ad spend.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
My most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been providing consistent high-quality content. Consistent good work for my clients have turned into referrals. Other business owners simply ask you is managing their social media or who build their website and the next thing you know I have a new client.
