RICHARD, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
Hibiscus Print Collection.
Being from the Caribbean. Belize, Central America to be exact. I grew up very short walking distance from the sea side. Where the hibiscus flowers definitely stands out. The shape, texture and colors have always been very meaningful to me. Especially when creating my own textile prints around them.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I knew I wanted to be creative from a young age. Growing up in Belize with a grandmother who sewed and an artistic family, sparked my passion for design. After finishing high school at 17 in Belize, I moved to California, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design and won several awards. At 19, I began working with famous designer Shelli Segal of Laundry by Shelli Segal. Over the past years, I worked as a designer and Art Director for well-known American brands, selling my creations in major department stores. My experience and love for colors and prints helped me find my path. Drawing inspiration from the Caribbean’s mix of cultures and colors. Focusing on stylish resort wear for women. After winning the title of best designer at Fashion Week San Diego. I’ve showcased two collections at the Bi-Annual Swim Collective Trade Show in Huntington Beach, Also featured on the red carpet at the Daytime Emmy Awards and BET awards.
