Alright, Reshma thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.

Creating a personal custom experience. My desire is to give every client, who are mostly other fellow mothers, with a tailored experience with my brand. I offer in-person session planning & styling appointments, image reveal and ordering sessions, hand delivery of artwork and installation. All of these steps have been created to make it as stress-free as possible for my clients.

As a mother, I know how busy life can get, I know how challenging it could be to prioritize family photos, to style and shop for them and how overwhelming it can be to figure out what to do with all your images. It’s exactly why I’ve created the process for my clients that takes the stress of all these details off their plate.

Reshma, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I am a commissioned artist & designer specializing in maternity, newborn, motherhood and family portraits.  My work is focused on helping mothers create tangible artwork of the memories with their family. I work with clients who want more than to document their moments, but those who value preserving those memories with handcrafted keepsakes and heirlooms.

I walk my clients through an in-depth experience that is tailored to each families needs. I offer luxury artwork, archival quality and most importantly a personal service.

Most recently I started offering family films and love letter films. They are a artistically created films of the moments with your loved ones put together in a time capsule. Mothers and parents have the opportunity to narrate these films with a love letter to their children, its an opportunity to have your voice and message captured forever for them to enjoy down the line. I am based in Southern California and travel to a handful of destination clients a year, including internationally.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

Because the service I offer is so personal and unique, client referrals and word of mouth are the most common way new clients approach me. Typically the mothers I work with are so grateful for the ways in which I was able to help them; whether it be because of the type of authentic moments I was able to document of their family or the albums or framed prints I was able to create for their home, whatever it was that they loved is what they usually are excited to share with their closest friends and family.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Superior quality and the personal service I offer. Truly serving my clients with a customized experience that is tailored to their needs is what has helped me build my reputation. Life is so busy and as a mother I understand that, I know how overwhelming it can be to plan your session, shop for outfits, coordinate everyone and all the details that goes into documenting your family. I know how stressful it can be to figure out what to do with your photos, how to print them, what kind of prints you want, how to design your albums. I take each of every one of these steps and I make it an seamless experience for my clients.

Offering my clients quality products that speak for themselves in another element in what has helped build my reputation.
