We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Remonde Levy. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with remonde below.
Hi Remonde, thanks for joining us today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
One of the most defining moments in my professional career actually started in my childhood. I was placed in special education classes up until my junior year of high school. At the time, I didn’t fully understand what that meant — but as I grew older, I realized how easily labels can shape expectations. Especially as a Black man, I understood that if I accepted that label as my ceiling, it could have quietly defined the rest of my life.
Going into my senior year, something shifted in me. I made a decision that I would not allow myself to be boxed in by a narrative that didn’t reflect my full capacity. That mindset carried me through four years of college and an additional year of undergraduate study. Instead of seeing obstacles as proof of limitation, I started seeing them as opportunities to stretch my thinking, sharpen my discipline, and build confidence through preparation.
Being placed in special education didn’t weaken me — it trained me. It forced me to approach learning differently. It taught me patience. It taught me how to ask better questions. It taught me how to work when things didn’t come easy. Most importantly, it taught me not to internalize labels.
Now at 35, I still apply that lesson. Whether I’m in auditions, giving speeches, leading workouts, or presenting in front of executives, I refuse to fall into mental traps — especially in high-pressure or complicated situations. Confidence for me wasn’t something I woke up with; it was built through trial and error, through uncomfortable moments, through failure, through showing up again anyway.
I’ve also learned that being human is okay. Growth doesn’t require perfection — it requires structure. I believe in building internal systems for character development: discipline, self-awareness, reflection, and accountability. That structure allows me to evolve without losing myself.
What once could have been seen as a limitation became the foundation of my resilience. And that perspective shift changed the trajectory of my life.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
For those who may not know me, my name is Remonde Levy, and I’m a performance-driven creative who operates at the intersection of fitness, athletics, media, and personal development. My journey into this industry wasn’t accidental — it was built through lived experience. I was a multi-sport athlete, playing varsity basketball for four years and competing as a swimmer, which laid the foundation for my discipline and understanding of performance. Over time, that athletic background evolved into a career in fitness training, coaching, modeling, acting, and motivational speaking.
What truly shaped me, though, was overcoming being placed in special education classes until my junior year of high school. That experience forced me to develop mental resilience early. Instead of accepting limitations, I learned to challenge them. That mindset carried me through four years of college and into earning my Master of Science in Entertainment Business. I realized that growth isn’t about where you start — it’s about the standards you set for yourself once you recognize your potential.
Professionally, I provide high-level personal training, small group performance training, mobility and HIIT programming, lifestyle coaching, and structured transformation plans. I don’t just train bodies — I help build internal structure. Whether it’s fat loss, muscle development, mobility, confidence, or overall lifestyle elevation, I create systems that push people past mental ceilings, not just physical ones. I also collaborate with brands, create fitness and lifestyle content, and work in front of the camera as a model and actor — bringing athletic credibility and real-life experience to every project.
The problem I solve for my clients goes beyond aesthetics. Many people struggle with consistency, confidence, and clarity. I help them develop discipline, structure, and belief in themselves. My background allows me to understand what it feels like to be underestimated — which is why I specialize in helping people unlock potential they didn’t know they had.
What sets me apart is that I’ve lived every layer of what I teach. I’ve been the athlete, the student, the underdog, the creator, the coach, and the brand. I combine physical performance with mindset development and media awareness. I understand how to build the body — but I also understand how to build presence, communication, and personal brand power.
What I’m most proud of isn’t just degrees, certifications, or partnerships — it’s the evolution. The confidence built through trial and error. The ability to walk into auditions, boardrooms, training sessions, or on set and remain grounded. I’m proud that I’ve never allowed labels, pressure, or obstacles to dictate my trajectory.
What I want potential clients, followers, and collaborators to know is this: my brand is built on discipline, authenticity, growth, and elevation. I don’t promote perfection — I promote progression. I believe in challenging mental traps, building internal structure, and creating sustainable success in fitness, business, and life.
At the core, I help people perform better — physically, mentally, and professionally.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One of the most defining tests of my resilience came after my father passed away in 2021. Losing him shifted my entire perspective on life, responsibility, and purpose. Grief has a way of slowing everything down — it forces you to confront emotions you can’t outrun. For a period of time, things felt heavier. Decisions felt different. Even my motivation had to be rebuilt.
At the same time, I was navigating personal breakups that challenged me mentally and emotionally. Relationships can either sharpen you or shake you. If you’re not grounded, heartbreak can turn into self-doubt, anxiety, or even long-term emotional damage. I’ve seen how unresolved pain can haunt people or push them into unhealthy mental patterns.
But what carried me through was something my parents and grandmother instilled in me early: internal value and self-validation. I was raised by two strong parents and a powerful grandmother who taught me that your worth is not negotiable. Because of that foundation, even in moments of loss or separation, I never outsourced my identity. I allowed myself to grieve. I allowed myself to hurt. But I didn’t allow those experiences to define me.
Instead, I used them to refine me.
After 2021, I became more intentional. More disciplined. More self-aware. I learned that resilience isn’t about pretending you’re strong — it’s about choosing growth when it would be easier to collapse. I strengthened my mental structure the same way I train physically: through repetition, reflection, and accountability.
What I learned is this — pain will either mold you or manage you. And I made the decision that it would mold me.
That season of loss and transition didn’t break me; it deepened me. It strengthened my emotional intelligence, my empathy for others, and my ability to lead from a place of authenticity rather than ego. And that resilience now shows up in every space I enter — professionally and personally.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been relationship equity over quick transactions. Early on, I realized that results will bring people in, but relationships are what make them stay and refer others.
Instead of chasing numbers, I focused on delivering undeniable value. When clients train with me, they’re not just getting a workout — they’re getting structure, accountability, mindset development, and a system they can sustain. I prioritize transformation over trends. When people see real physical results paired with confidence growth, they naturally talk about it.
Consistency in visibility has also been key. Through social media, brand collaborations, speaking engagements, and community events, I position myself not just as a trainer, but as a performance-driven professional. I don’t post just to post — I educate, demonstrate, and lead by example. That builds authority and trust.
Another major strategy has been referrals. I treat every client like they’re my only client. When people feel seen, heard, and pushed with intention, they bring others into the ecosystem. Word-of-mouth has been one of my strongest growth engines because it’s built on real experience, not marketing hype.
Lastly, I’ve learned to build community, not just clientele. Small group training, collaborations, and partnerships create an environment where people feel part of something bigger than themselves. When people feel connected, they stay committed.
At the core, my growth strategy has been simple: produce results, build trust, stay visible, and move with integrity. The brand grows when the impact is real.
