We caught up with the brilliant and insightful RayMauri Wiggins a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
RayMauri, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Being a successful entrepreneur and dad requires a delicate balance of time management, prioritization, and adaptability. Here are some key factors to consider:
1. **Time Management:** Efficiently manage your time by setting clear boundaries between work and family. Allocate dedicated periods for both aspects of your life.
2. **Delegation:** Delegate tasks at work and home when possible. You can’t do everything on your own, so surround yourself with a strong support system.
3. **Prioritization:** Identify your top priorities in both your business and family life. Focus on what truly matters and be willing to say no to less important commitments.
4. **Communication:** Maintain open and honest communication with your family about your work commitments and schedule. This helps manage expectations and avoids misunderstandings.
5. **Work-Life Integration:** Look for ways to integrate your family into your work life when appropriate. This could mean involving them in business activities or finding work-related benefits that support family life.
6. **Self-Care:** Don’t neglect self-care. Taking care of your physical and mental health is essential to manage the demands of entrepreneurship and parenthood.
7. **Flexibility:** Be adaptable and willing to adjust your plans as circumstances change. Entrepreneurship often involves unpredictability, so being flexible is crucial.
8. **Support Network:** Build a strong support network, including mentors, fellow entrepreneurs, and other parents who can offer guidance and encouragement.
9. **Goal Setting:** Set clear, achievable goals for both your business and family life. Regularly evaluate your progress and make adjustments as needed.
10. **Lead by Example:** Demonstrate values and qualities to your children that align with your entrepreneurial endeavors, such as perseverance, creativity, and a strong work ethic.
Remember that there’s no one-size-fits-all formula for success as an entrepreneur and dad. What works for one person may not work for another, so it’s important to find a balance that suits your unique situation and values.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
The biggest advice in managing a team is understanding when building a team there’s online 1 Lebron James, Kobe, Mj, and Tom Brady. What I mean by that if that’s understood by the team, with them understanding they are all role players with high level attributes that will help the team win in their avenues the team will win every-time. Also with being the manager or leader you can’t expect to have all Tom Brady players because each member has a key skill which will help the team, and you as the leader possess multiple. But it can only be one of those.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think the biggest thing that help me in whatever market or Business Avenue I’m in is being an asset and utilizing my network there’s a saying your net worth is network. I’m having a diverse and solid network you have to be an asset your self.
