We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful RapNerdz. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with RapNerdz below.
RapNerdz , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Your ability to build a team is often a key determinant of your success as a business owner and so we’d love to get a conversation going with successful entrepreneurs like yourself around what your recruiting process was like -especially early on. How did you build your team?
My business started out with me and only me. I am looking to add more people onto the team to get more clients as well for more of my team members. A day being in my shoes is pretty much editing creating writing down doing a whole bunch of planning and preparation before anything goes down or is done what is like recruiting team members it’s difficult at times but if you find people who love the thing that you love as well then it’s easier to make it happen if I started recruiting today, the only thing I would do differently is just put people and more of a training process, then just put them in the field because sometimes people are ready for the field from the first jump sometimes they have to be molded into it

RapNerdz , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
So my name is Terry . RapNerdz is a production company we film short film, movies Long film, movies, music videos events podcast interviews. We also do photos as well. we sell products as well as shirts, pants pretty much everything. The most proud of that I am with my business is just the people that I met the people that I’ve helped along the way to making their career is good or to helping them get a career and whatever they’re looking to get into I’m more proud of just being able to be around so long and get recognition for the hard work.
Just going into 2026 with the mindset of just work hard out work everybody and stay in your own lane and just make sure you and whoever’s on your team your staff they’re all good. Keep it all in house.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I got plenty of stories, but I’ll just tell the story about how when I traveled to Georgia me and one of my clients I end up doing some work for him in Georgia and he took me around a couple places and the day after we did one big event we were supposed to do an event for Tory Lanez but we couldn’t get in so instead of giving up my client. He just pretty much like snuck in the back door brought my camera in there and he just told me he was like yo come in here and we gonna film like you were supposed to be here anyway And that’s what happened. We end up filming and people thought we were supposed to be in there with the camera because they didn’t see anybody with the camera anyway so they thought I was supposed to work there and I end up getting to meet Tory Lanez and taking a couple pictures of them free Tory Lanez as well

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I wanna say the time I had a pivot in my career, probably is just that celebrities I work with the sports athletes job, taking pictures of and work with the turnip point for me really was just me going hard and put myself out there and really like doing so much work for so many people in the city that I had a catchy logo I had a catchy opening theme things that made people when they see me they recognize me because of certain things
