Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Randy V Aka Guaranteedvvs. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Randy V , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?

I’ve been misunderstood my whole life honestly. It’s that fact that helps me grip facts like; my art helps me “feel” understood in a way. When I talk…I feel only 5% of humanity is capable of understanding me & the other 95% they’d have to listen to my music or take a real look at my art; to understand at least a sense of where I’m coming from so they can try to understand me with out mischaracterizing me due to my passion. Even then they might still be lost & I misunderstood.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I got into making music & poetry around the time I was homeless my junior year well me & my family; after we overcame that & a few more obstacles I started to take its potential serious. I make music for the soul that’s in pain but has a never dying spirit; that drive to never stop moving forward. Memento Mori.
The Brand is FOE(FamilyOverEverything) which is very self explanatory it means the Family is over everything but family does not make you blood. What’s makes one family is there loyalty. Now this organization I created is one that’s left its footprint in many boxes of sand now & planning on expansion for example Graphic Design, Clothing Design & Manufacturing, Breeding of Domestic livestock(American,English, & French Bulldogs), etc. these are just some of the lanes already stepped in.
I proud of the fact I can admit I still have a lot to do & accomplish & I’m still not where I want to be yet, but I am grateful for my supporting/loving fans on the journey; old & new.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

Yes the mission has always been & still is get my family out of the life we was born into with no choice but to deal with it. I could tell you about how I grew up from apartment to apartments moving all around Dallas. Then I could say I had to fight a lot growing up for me & my brothers because we didn’t have the highest quality of life nor the norm so kids tended to exploit that fact in the form of jokes or negative aggressive behavior so I learned how to be the most negative or aggressive one. The fact I was homeless my junior year & first semester senior year of highschool or before that I was coming home to my lights & water off in a single parent household with a father in the penitentiary for 16 years & another fathering my brothers still mentally growing his self. My amazing mother battling bipolar & schizophrenia holding life together for us the best she could never showing the attacks on her mind. I’m so Proud of her. That’s why I this mission is so important it’s not about it’s about us. It’s about Family. We will be on the other side where “the grass is greener” you know? Nobody going to stop us or tell us we don’t belong because we earned our place.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

I had to unlearn that the ones that say they actually love you will support you; they don’t. now don’t get me wrong this doesn’t apply in every scenario but for the most part people are creatures of cunning ambition not all having morals or code. I had a group of “Brothers” before & I was left on a boat after a enemies sneak attack against me. “Metaphorically speaking.” But…..as a botherhood you should never leave a man behind unless they betray you, right ? I did nothing but give my Money, Space, Loyalty, Love, & Time to have the one I called my right hand turn his back on me with a group of people with faces he didn’t start out with; on a bigger different boat that he didn’t help build but enjoying the ride. No matter what remember anyone can change on you, with no excuse or real reason besides they was never on your side to begin with in truth.
