Rana, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to start by getting your thoughts on what you are seeing as some the biggest trends emerging in your industry.
The female entrepreneurship industry is growing rapidly, and several trends are shaping the industry in 2023. Some of the biggest trends include:
1. Adopting automation strategies: Automation is transforming how businesses operate, and female entrepreneurs are embracing this trend. They are using automation to streamline their operations, increase efficiency, and drive growth.
2. Growth of online businesses: With the rise of e-commerce and remote work, more and more women are starting online businesses. This allows them to reach a wider audience and operate their businesses from anywhere in the world.
3. Embracing social consciousness: Social consciousness is becoming an increasingly important issue for businesses of all sizes, and female entrepreneurs are taking this trend to heart. They are using their businesses to make a positive impact on society and address critical social issues.
4. Empowerment through education: Many female entrepreneurs are seeking out educational opportunities to help them grow their businesses. From online courses to business incubators, hiring a business coach, and joining masterminds, women are investing in themselves and their businesses to achieve greater success.
5. Collaboration over competition: There is a growing trend of female entrepreneurs collaborating with each other rather than competing. This has created supportive communities and networks that help women succeed in business.
Overall, these trends reflect the growing impact female entrepreneurs have on the business world and the increasing recognition of the value they bring to the table.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I’m Rana, a global business strategist, a result-focused business coach, mother, and university professor and I am the co-founder of the Global Businesswomen (exclusive networking community).
I’ve supported over two thousand clients and students with their business growth, and created a tested-framework for growing and scaling service businesses.
My story started with a billboard. Growing up as a young girl in Lebanon, I observed the rebirth of industry as billboards and advertisements were erected after war. I daydreamed about billboard designers’ creative processes. What was the motivation behind a slogan, graphic and campaign? How effective was it? One could say I was a marketing enthusiast before I even knew what marketing was.
I knew I could translate my natural proclivity for marketing into a career. That’s exactly what I did… Once upon a time I was an owner of an advertising agency working for one of my favorite international clients. It felt like a dream. Until it… wasn’t.
In 2020 I finally found my purpose, helping women create their dream business and achieve financial independence.
I do business coaching, speaking, and corporate consultancy.
– For my coaching programs it takes female entrepreneurs to the next level and challenge her to execute at her highest potential through strategic planning, one-on-one meetings, coaching videos, and unstoppable group masterminds!
– As a published researcher, university professor, and global serial TEDx speaker, I am dedicated to helping companies, and individuals write their success story. I have supported countless people to unleash their maximum potential and build their dream businesses. Through research, relatable stories, and high energy, I inspire and guide people to take immediate massive action towards the next level during hands-on workshops.
– As a marketing agency, I serve clients to generate data-oriented marketing research, produce creative branding strategies, conceptualize events and manage them, train marketing and sales teams, and build efficient customer- relationship-management systems. My marketing methods are influenced by my international exposure and working with partners from different parts of the globe so I can always serve you, my clients, with the latest trends in the industry.
My Human Design is a Projector… and a good chocolate bar always makes me smile!
I believe you can, should, and will have it all. That begins with developing confidence and backing it with a plan to move toward your dreams. So, DREAM BIG!
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I was at the top of my career, with a successful job and a thriving network. But when I met the love of my life (now my husband) and we decided to move to the United States, I knew that I would have to start over in a completely new and unfamiliar world. I was filled with anxiety and fear, and I cried a lot in those first few months. But I never gave up on my dream, and I knew that if I put in the right work, I could make a new life for myself in this new country.
I started by building my own community, one person at a time. I reached out to others, making connections and building relationships through mindfulness and intentional networking. I put my ego aside and was willing to start from the bottom, taking small steps and learning as I went. It was not easy, but I always reminded myself of my purpose and my passion for success.
I also made a point to get out of my comfort zone. I tried new things and took on challenges that pushed me to grow and learn. And slowly but surely, I started to make progress. I built a new network of friends and colleagues, and I found new opportunities to grow and succeed in my business.
Looking back now, I am so grateful for the journey I went through. I learned so much about myself, and I realized that the key to success is not just hard work, but also a strong heart and a clear purpose. I am proud of what I have accomplished, and I know that I can continue to grow and succeed in the future.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
As an entrepreneur, we are always taught to “fake it till you make it”. Especially when I had to re-start and moving to a new world, I thought that if I just acted confident and put on a bold face, I would eventually become fearless. But what I didn’t realize was that this approach was keeping me trapped in the impostor syndrome. I felt like a fraud, constantly questioning my own abilities and fearing that I would be exposed as a fake.
One day, I realized that this approach was not working for me. I was exhausted from constantly trying to keep up appearances, and I knew that I needed to change my mindset if I wanted to truly succeed as an entrepreneur. I made the decision to unlearn the “fake it till you make it” mentality, and to embrace my authentic self.
I started by being honest and sharing my story of how I am starting over!
The process of unlearning was not easy especially in a new environment where I did not have a support system, but it was incredibly rewarding. I learned that true success as an entrepreneur comes from being authentic and embracing your vulnerabilities. I discovered that I was capable of so much more than I ever thought possible, and that I could build a successful business by being true to myself.
