We recently connected with Rachael Curfew and have shared our conversation below.
Rachael, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
It was the moment I decided for the first time in my life to be selfish. I wanted all
of the answers, I was tired of living in fear and anxiety. I was done watching my kids struggle. So, I started searching for the answers and I found them in.
I was just trying to save my family. I never planned on it turning into a business with clients all
over the world,

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I worked as a coach that specialized in anxiety, but after about 12 years realized that with a few exceptions, about 98% of my clients anxiety stemmed from a relationship issue…. With their self, a loved one, or their God.
I have rebranded and now work with individuals who have disconnected to their most important relationships.
We still work through fears and anxiety, just through a different lens.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
It sounds simple but I do little marketing because almost all of my business comes from testimonials and referrals.
I built my business on the value of being kind and I treat my clients as if they are my friends.
I send extra messages to those struggling in between sessions, I send birthday texts/cards, and message on holidays for those who are alone
I just remember them and let them know when I am. In short, I treat them as I would treat a friend.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
The best resource I have found is to be a part of a mastermind. Having a team of other business owners who genuinely want you to succeed, will collaborate with you, brainstorm obstacles with you, but also call you out when you are missing something or off course, is priceless.
I also suggest placing yourself at events or trainings with those that you look up to. I joined the Mountain West Chapter of the National Speakers Association several years ago for that very reason. I am now completing my second year helping host their speaker training program called Speaker Academy and finishing my 2 year board term.
