We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Pooja Umathe. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Pooja below.
Pooja, appreciate you joining us today. Do you wish you had started sooner?
If I could go back in time, I think I would have loved to start my creative career a little sooner. I’m a lifestyle content creator, and my work includes fashion, travel, and all things lifestyle. I started this journey after spending some time exploring other paths, but once I found content creation, I knew it was meant for me.
If I had started earlier, I would’ve had more time to grow, experiment, and build my audience. But at the same time, I believe everything happened at the right moment for me. The experiences I had before becoming a creator helped shape my voice, style, and perspective.
Looking back, I don’t regret starting when I did, but sometimes I do wonder how far I could’ve gone if I had begun a few years earlier. Still, I’m proud of the path I’ve taken and excited about what’s ahead.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a lifestyle content creator with a focus on fashion, travel, and everyday inspiration. My journey into this creative space started with a passion for storytelling and a love for sharing the little things that bring joy and confidence into people’s lives. Whether it’s styling an outfit, discovering hidden gems while traveling, or highlighting small lifestyle upgrades, I love helping my audience feel inspired and empowered.
What sets my work apart is how real and relatable I aim to be. I create content that feels approachable—something people can see themselves in. I also work closely with brands to create thoughtful collaborations that offer value to my community.
One of the things I’m most proud of is building an engaged audience that genuinely trusts my voice. I don’t just create content—I build connections. My mission is to create a space where people feel seen, motivated, and excited to explore their own style and adventures.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding part of being a creative is the connection I build with people through my content. When someone messages me to say a travel tip helped them plan their dream trip, or that a fashion post gave them the confidence to try something new—that’s the best feeling. It’s about more than just creating pretty visuals; it’s about making someone feel seen, inspired, or uplifted. Knowing that my work can brighten someone’s day or make them feel good about themselves is what keeps me going.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
When I started building my social media presence, I didn’t have a big strategy—I just began sharing things I genuinely loved, like fashion looks, travel moments, and lifestyle tips. Over time, I realized the importance of being consistent and showing up with intention. I focused on creating content that felt authentic, added value, and connected with people on a personal level.
Engaging with my audience and treating them like a community rather than just followers played a big role. I listened to their feedback, responded to comments and DMs, and made sure my content stayed relatable and real.
For anyone just starting out, my biggest advice is: start before you’re ready, stay consistent, and don’t try to copy what everyone else is doing. Focus on what makes you you. Your voice, your style, and your story are your superpowers. Be patient—it takes time, but it’s so worth it when you grow a community that believes in you.
