It could be anything from a disgruntled client attacking an employee or waking up to find out a celebrity gave you a shoutout on TikTok – the sudden, unexpected hits (both positive and negative) make the profession both exhilarating and exhausting. Can you share one of your craziest stories?
One morning I logged into my computer looked at my account and saw a balance in the negative totaling 21,839. I know the horror to my surprise this was not debt of my own but advanced commission debt from a downline agent who promised only 30 days earlier he would not do this. As the founder of Agent Score Report, my journey into the insurance industry began over a decade ago, fueled by a passion for public health and a drive to ensure that individuals and businesses receive the best possible service from their insurance agents. With a background in public health education and experience working in hospitals, labs, and insurance, I recognized a significant gap in how agents were evaluated and held accountable. This realization led me to create a platform where transparency and accountability are at the forefront, allowing agents to build a reputation based on trust, integrity, and professionalism.

One of the most defining moments in my journey with Agent Score Report came when I found myself facing over $25,000 in crippling debt. The pressure was immense, and there were times when the stress felt overwhelming. But I knew that Agent Score Report was something that the industry needed, and I was determined to see it through.
So, day by day, brick by brick, I continued to build the website, all while holding down a full-time job to chip away at the debt. Balancing the demands of a startup with the financial strain of reducing debt wasn’t easy. There were long nights and early mornings, moments of doubt, and the constant juggling of responsibilities. But I kept pushing forward, fueled by the belief that what I was creating would make a meaningful difference.
That experience taught me the true meaning of resilience. What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A significant lesson I had to unlearn on my journey with Agent Score Report was the belief that I needed everything to be perfect before launching. Early on, I thought that every detail had to be meticulously planned and flawlessly executed before I could even think about putting the platform out into the world. This mindset led to a lot of overthinking, delays, and unnecessary pressure.
The backstory to this is deeply tied to the challenges I faced, particularly the financial struggles. With over $25,000 in debt, I found myself constantly worried that any misstep would only make things worse. I was holding myself to an impossible standard, thinking that the only way to succeed was to avoid any mistakes altogether. But as I continued to work on Agent Score Report, brick by brick, while also managing a part-time job to reduce my debt, I realized that waiting for perfection was holding me back more
