Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Paige Earles. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Paige, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you have a hero? What have you learned from them?
The person who has been, and will always be, my hero is my Mom, Moira Thornett. Her life has been an inspiration to so many, which is especially true for myself and my 2 sisters, Robin and Jenny. Mom was born in Scotland. She lost both of her parents at a very young age and subsequently was raised by her Aunt Cathie and Uncle Bill. They moved to the United States when she was in her early teens and she immediately started working to help with the family’s financial obligations. They struggled for many years to make ends meet. As a result, Mom did not have the means or ability to attend college until much later in life.
I was born when Mom was 20 years old. For the next 6 to 8 years the financial struggles continued. After years of barely getting by, Mom’s hard work and dedication started to pay off with raises and promotions. She loved computers and computer systems which led to managing reservation passenger systems for several major airlines.
Much later in life when Mom was in her early 40s, and while juggling a career and raising children, she was finally able to attend college. Not only did she achieve a bachelor’s degree but also a Master’s Degree in Information Technology and Telecommunications from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN.
Her professional career continued to soar upwards, culminating with her promotion to VP of IT Operations for Holiday Inn Corporation, which later became Bass Hotels and Resorts.
Mom’s personal passion was the theater. In 1997 She founded ACT1, a small community theater in Alpharetta GA. From it’s very small beginnings, it grew to an award-winning theater with several main stage productions each year plus children’s theater, dinner theater and community outreach productions. ACT1 received 17 nominations in the first Metropolitan Atlanta Theater Awards. Mom had a very special gift of bringing the best out of people when they were on stage. ACT1 continues to be the only non-profit, all volunteer theater in Alpharetta.
Mom was also very involved with the church. She served as Elder, Clerk of Session and as a Deacon. In 2006 she was awarded a Lifetime Membership of the Presbyterian Women Organization, its highest honor.
As hard as it might be to imagine, during Mom’s vast and extensive personal and professional responsibilities and accomplishments, she was also battling with breast cancer. She was first diagnosed in her early 30s and fought courageously with dignity and selflessness for the next 30 years until her battle with cancer ended at the young age of 63. A devastating loss which is still deeply painful almost 15 years later.
Mom’s influence on my journey has been immeasurable and the lessons learned countless. Her life was a beautiful example of love, charity, humility, style, dignity, creativity and elegance. She is a far better person than I could ever hope to be, but her guidance continues to influence my personal and professional life, each and every day. My passion for interior design is based on its transformative power to enhance people’s lives. Mom enhanced countless lives through her passions and selfless dedication to her family, the theater, church and her career. It is my goal and hope that Pearle Designs enhances the lives of every one of our clients, something that is achieved because of the beautiful influence Mom had, and continues to have, on who I am as a person and a business owner.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hello Everyone, I’m Paige Earles, Interior Designer and owner of Pearle Designs.
Pearle Designs was launched over 13 years ago. Since then we have completed hundreds of interior design projects and had the honor of working with over 100 clients. My passion for design and our commitment to providing extraordinary services, exceeding expectations and overdelivering on our promises, has been the foundation of Pearle Designs’ success.
Pearle Designs is a full-service interior design company. We provide all interior and exterior design services. Those services include initial design concepts, design plans, space planning and floorplan layouts, digital presentations, sourcing, ordering and purchasing, project management and purchase management.
Interior design is a transformative art form, which can and should enhance people’s lives and the spaces around them. Enhancing people’s lives is what drives my passion and what provides the greatest rewards.
I’m so proud of the transformations we’ve completed and so excited about our future transformations.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Satisfied clients are the most effective strategy for growing our clientele. Our commitment to providing extraordinary services, exceeding expectations and overdelivering on our promises is the foundation of our success and the reason our clients love working with Pearle Designs. We’re focused on building long-term relationships with our clients. It’s never just about one project. It’s about the relationship that develops which allows us to continue providing interior design services to our clients. Happy clients are our greatest resource for referrals (new business) and repeat business. Additionally, consistent marketing campaigns are an important key to growing clientele, including quarterly newsletters and frequent social media posts.
Last, but certainly not least, phone calls to existing or former clients. It’s simple but so valuable. Call to just say hello, check-in and/or ask for a referral. It’s a personal touch that makes a big difference.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Maintaining a professional image and a consistent message has definitely helped build our reputation in our market. Our professional image is maintained through our website, social media platforms, business cards, newsletters and all company promotion. Also, our reputation has been built by actually doing and not just saying. By actually providing extraordinary services, exceeding expectations and overdelivering on promises and not just saying we’ll do those things. Our reputation has also been built because we truly care, we always go above and beyond, we build lasting relationships and we are committed to enhancing our client’s lives.
