We were lucky to catch up with Noah Powell recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Noah thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
The biggest risk I’ve taken is just betting on myself and my ability to succeed at anything I do. I left a job Good paying job that I had working at a factory because I knew that I was capable of doing more. I didn’t want to end up stuck in a cycle of not going for what I know I’m capable of. I will always bet on myself 10 times out of 10. Even when no one else sees your vision, you have to see your vision and know that you will achieve it no matter what.

Noah, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m from Cleveland, Ohio born and raised. I’ve been involved in music pretty much my entire life and have been making beats and engineering since I was 16. I obtained my audio production degree from the Ohio Media School at 27. Music is apart of who I am and will always be a part of my core. I eventually made my shift into the insurance industry when I realized the value that I will be able to bring to help protect people and their families. I obtained my Life and Health insurance license through the state of Ohio at 27. I want people to know that I am Genuine and caring, I like to help people and do my part to make the world a better place than it was yesterday.

How did you build your audience on social media?
I built my social media audience by just being Genuine and creative. When I was focusing on my career as a musical artist, I learned how to figure out creative ways to promote my work and catch the attention of people. Mix that in with my ability to connect with people and network and I was able to build a social media audience of a couple thousand people. My advice is to stay creative and to make connections with people. Find out how to come up with new ways to draw attention and make someone want to click on your content. Also, the more connections you build with people, the more resources you have to help yourself.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
A couple books that I’ve read that helped me a lot were Hustle Harder Hustle Smarter by 50 Cent, Gucci Manes autobiography, and Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill to name a few. I’ve also liked to watch interviews ever since I was a kid so I watch a lot of interviews from successful people, whether it’s successful artists, business owners, billionaires, etc.
