Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Niyah Imani Jean-Pierre. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Niyah Imani thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you take us back in time to the first dollar you earned as a creative – how did it happen? What’s the story?
My first dollar earned as a creative came from booking PBS Kids Talk About in August 2022 when I was 10 years old. What’s really cool is that it was also my first audition and my first booking.
I got to be on the show with my dad, and we played ourselves. The episode was about friendship, which was a topic I could relate to, so it was fun talking about my own experiences. I was nervous at first because I had never auditioned before, but I was also excited.
When I found out I got the role and received my first paycheck, I felt really proud. It made me realize that I could do something I enjoyed and actually get paid for it. More importantly, it gave me confidence to keep trying new things.
Looking back, that experience started everything. It opened the door to acting, modeling, content creation, and so many opportunities I have today. I’ll always remember it because it was my first professional job and because I got to share it with my dad.

Niyah Imani , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi, I’m Niyah Imani Jean-Pierre, a 14-year-old actor, model, youth media personality, and content creator. I started my journey in entertainment when I booked PBS Kids Talk About at age 10, and since then I’ve been fortunate to grow through acting, runway modeling, brand partnerships, interviews, and content creation.
I love being creative and using my platform to inspire other young people to be confident, work hard, and be themselves. Whether I’m walking a runway, creating content, attending events, or sharing my experiences online, I want people to see that it’s okay to dream big and step outside your comfort zone.
One thing that sets me apart is that I enjoy many different parts of the entertainment industry. I don’t just focus on one thing. I love fashion, acting, media, and connecting with people through content. Every opportunity teaches me something new and helps me grow.
One of the things I’m most proud of is being named Content Creator of the Year at the National Social Media Awards. That recognition reminded me that consistency, creativity, and staying true to yourself really matter.
Beyond entertainment, giving back is important to me. Through my Niyah Starlight Holiday Drive, I’ve helped collect gifts for children and families in need because I believe success means using your platform to make a positive impact on others.
I hope people see me as someone who works hard, stays positive, and isn’t afraid to keep learning. I’m excited to continue growing as a creator, actor, model, and youth media personality while inspiring others along the way.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
A moment that really shows resilience for me is learning how to keep going even when things don’t work out right away. In my journey, not every audition has turned into a booking, and I’ve had to get used to hearing “no” or not hearing anything back at all.
What’s helped me is staying consistent. I keep doing self-tapes, practicing, and showing up for opportunities even when I’m balancing a lot at once. Sometimes I’m auditioning while also preparing for or coming from fashion shows, or working in different places like Maryland while still submitting for projects in LA.
It can feel like a lot, especially when everything is happening at the same time and nothing is really slowing down. But I’ve learned that you can’t let that stop you. You just keep preparing, keep showing up, and stay ready for when the right opportunity comes.
Over time, I’ve realized that resilience is really about not giving up when things feel scattered or unpredictable. You just keep pushing forward, even if it doesn’t look perfect.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
A big goal that drives my creative journey is becoming a well-rounded youth media personality. I don’t want to focus on just one thing. I enjoy acting, modeling, creating content, and being part of media, and I want to keep growing in all of those areas.
What motivates me most is being able to inspire other young people. I know what it feels like to be new, to be learning, and to not always know what the outcome will be. So I want to show that it’s possible to start young, keep learning, and grow into different opportunities over time.
I also want to continue building a career where I can tell stories, express myself creatively, and connect with people in a real way. Whether it’s on a runway, in front of a camera, or through digital content, my goal is to keep evolving and stay open to new experiences.
More than anything, I want to be known as someone who stayed consistent, stayed true to herself, and turned her passion into something meaningful.
