Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nikky T. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Nikky, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I knew I wanted to pursue my music career full-time, when I realized that my happiness stems from my passion. My passion brings me so much love and light and sharing that with the world means so much to me. The way I can make people feel through my music is a God-given gift that I hope to continue to share with the world. I know I am meant to do this, and I cannot wait to continue this journey with you all! Thanks to all who have supported me in this.

Nikky, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I grew up singing in the house, the car, just anywhere really. At the age of 3 I started dancing, which started my love for performing, My love for performing grew when I started singing in talent shows. Eventually, at the age of 17 I recorded in the studio for the first time. From that moment forward I was addicted, Ever since, I have continued growing, and developing my skills. I love being able to record and share my original music, as well as, performing these songs on stage. Nothing brings me more joy!

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
At gigs, I sing a lot of meaningful covers.. Sometimes, strangers, or people I know come up to me saying that I have made them cry. Normally, I wouldn’t say making someone cry is an achievement, however, as an artist being able to evoke emotion like that in any way means that I was able to move that person. Music is a universal language, and being able to share emotions with an audience like that is so rewarding, I hope to continue to move people with my music or vocals.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
The biggest ways to support an artist include: going to live shows, if you can’t make the shows buying a ticket to support the artist, streaming their music, sharing their social media posts to spread awareness, watching their visuals., etc. All of these help an artist so much, and we genuinely appreciate the help so much.
