We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Niki Bell a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Niki , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
“If a man looks upon any other man and estimates that man as less than himself, then he is stealing from the other. He is stealing the other’s birthright – that of equality.” ― Neville Goddard (1905-1972) My mission is, “TO NEVER BE BROKE, BROKEN, OR HUNGRY AGAIN!” Johann Sebastian Bach, classical German composer, plays softly on the nightstand as I read the notes and sing in chamber- always with my voice in higher pitch than the rest. It is the beginning… along the river we go as my voice flows to another perfect octave musical note. Stretch and warm up we must, stretch and warm up our legs; now, run in the same perfect harmony while gently gliding along the dirt roads in and out of the canals. It was into another channel I would roam to, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 – 1791), silently listening and waiting for the different crescendos of my life that would come and go, leaving me to ponder alone like dying rain. I sat with literature about Apartheid in South Africa before I had learned to read. I read the Japanese version of World War II before I learned about the American side of things. Fidel Castro impoverished my people again. I was three feet tall climbing on a stool to try to make a meal and to no avail. I was always eight feet into the ground and knocked around like a rat with no cheese. I could not figure out the reason why I was always being watched a little too closely with many roaming eyes. I absolutely had to master my mind ever since I was a toddler. A life unrelatable. I learned that no one believed in me. On a still night after the unspeakable done unto me or in the mornings as I grabbed a piece of moldy bread to hold me for the day. He would be sitting in the living room watching over me. His brightly-brilliantly-dead-soul absolutely saw the inhumane reality of my life. I came into the world unscripted, unedited, and with no path. I heard the mother drum, the acorns on our feet dancing to the four corners of the world, asking me to one day understand that I was meant to be and do many things. It is “I” that would have to see it through. “A’ho!”
The framed poster spoke to me in ways that moved my tiny little being into action every single moment of the day. The moments of fear, pain, and terror that I could not escape. It shook every core in my being until I had nothing left, not even my feet to walk and stand upon. Everyday I died and revived myself starting from infancy. By age 2, I knew something was deeply wrong. I could not speak because my days were not my own. By age 3, I began to run while my feet could not carry me, trying so hard to keep up with my so-called caregivers. Running became my release and escape. By age 5, he was there for the next 12 years of my life and he said, “Even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,” Martin Luther King, Jr.
I was trained to know thy enemy, how they talk, walk, and speak. It was through intellectual-psychological-punishment for hours upon hours each day that I sat and worked my mind. My spirit wandered the universe not knowing, not believing in anything other than myself, and not ever thinking the horror would end. I did not sleep and often food was not an easy commodity. I came into this world with every challenge working against me even to this day. As I sat at the college library for hours, trying to not be “stupid” as they would call me such, over and over again. I would go back to my dwelling with written reports in hand after studying most of the books in the library. I learned to navigate the world, to speak linguistically, to be quiet in complete silence, to articulate, and most importantly to master the art of suffering. I had to put on a nice smile, shake hands with the devil while looking him straight in the eye, sit in class with unencouraging teachers who had that confused look on their face, and constantly rise above all circumstances. I was not allowed to feel, love, or grow. I continued to be malnutritioned while living in uninhabitable conditions, not telling a soul. I watched and observed customs, beliefs, traditions, languages, values, and people who made moral sense. I mastered audiences for speaking, and engaging with others while experiencing extreme amounts of suffering. And no one knew. It was my unspoken inner power in which I had no idea I possessed. My ancestors were speaking to me and watching over me. I was never safe. The world was cruel.
Johnny Cash greased my forehead silently in the wind with “Folsom Prison Blues”. My life of psychological imprisonment would be my redemption and saving grace-by me alone. The gang life, by family affiliation, and the murders, was rampant despite being an extremely intelligent child. DMX playing on the jukebox, “What You (Really) Want” as I was passed around. The police who I later would work for, were always there, blaring their sirens, SWAT terrifying me, and they would interrogate me to no end. But, I stood on my little toes that could not carry me and held my ground with no knowledge in my small sound mind of any wrongdoing on my part. It was never about me, they simply wanted to extract information from me about the criminals I lived with. Nothing was ever right. And no one thought to ask if I was okay. In faith I whispered, “I humbled myself in the sight of the Lord”… hoping, “and he would lift you(me) up. Amazing grace, how sweet the sound”- was it? I could not be saved at any age or interval of my life. I had to save myself. Later in my adult life, I became a Buddhist and more so in philosophy (a way of life). I remained spiritual in all things inclusive, including the Lord or God that I would have to later forgive. I was not a spiritual being by any means because I did not understand the deep level of suffering I had to endure. I was treated worse than the mud on one’s shoes in my no-childhood years and in my adult life. Yet, he spoke to me, “I have a dream…” Oh, and so I dreamed. I kept dreaming and I kept hitting the ground running. I kept being seen and overly involved in daily activities. The extreme trafficking of my mind, body, and soul continued. I was left with nothing, nothing more than a dream.
No matter how one feels about this president, his words will forever speak to me. “FREEDOM IS NOT ENOUGH But freedom is not enough. You do not wipe away the scars of centuries by saying: Now you are free to go where you want, and do as you desire, and choose the leaders you please. You do not take a person who, for years, has been hobbled by chains and liberate him, bring him up to the starting line of a race and then say, ‘you are free to compete with all the others,’ and still justly believe that you have been completely fair. Thus it is not enough just to open the gates of opportunity. All our citizens must have the ability to walk through those gates.” 36th President of the United States, Lyndon B Johnson. There is an awareness in his words that we as a global village and as Americans no longer value. It certainly does not exist in the private sector that I represent. I constantly create the gates of opportunity while being told “NO”, dismissed, and disregarded daily. Yet, I RISE! While he is talking about race in terms of the “Negro man”. I am indigenous in racial terms, culturally I am Latina with an African identity of discipline and focus along with my British accent that I lost by age 18. There is no history of slavery on either side of my parents’. We came to this country with owning land. This is the only way in which we are described, those of my color, as being “enslaved” versus being kings and queens.
Many of us “Americans’ ‘, have no concept of ancestral ties, let alone ancient times of matriarchal societies. People all over the world built pyramids that walked the golden path to the sun and moon, and with no monetary gain. It is exhausting and it is tiring to not be seen as a human being who has a culture, religion, and education. It is not differences that bring us together, it is our similarities, our shared laughter and livelihood. I am a world citizen; and therefore the causality of ignorance, I am unable to engage with such cavalier references. Everyone is a brother and sister, dripping the same color blood, until they choose not to be. Yet, such a perspective is still not enough. Therefore, BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY (Malcolm X), I continue to create what others cannot.
I was born to lead. I turned my scars into focused motivation. I found a tree for peace that I would lay next to as a child, cold and alone. I found canals and dirt roads to run on. Bodies of water to rest my soul where there was no flow. I had to push and make it flow while others sat waiting for me to fail. When I landed at my Big Ten University, I kissed and prayed over every piece of furniture in my dorm room. I gave thanks to finally having a bed. I gave appreciation for finally experiencing the beauty of the world. The memories there are untouched. Due to my training, my GPA remained highly intact, while working two jobs, and being a student activist for indigenous rights, X(Ch)icana/o rights, human rights, Women’s Movement (void of new-age feminism), and Civil Rights. (The X in front of Chicana/o- means revolutionary. It is those of us with a militant, ethnic, and political consciousness). The leadership I possessed began as a child and is unexplainable. My skill set began as a child and was based on more than just survival. Remember, “I have a dream”. The strategy I have had to employ began as a child. I soon led a movement from high school, college, and eventually as a community state/federal chairperson regarding the dismantling of Civil Rights. There were voluntary federal and state programs that were put in place in the 1960’s and 70’s that would soon no longer exist. I brought together senators at roundtables, governors, corporations, labor unions, educational institutions, state departments, and more. I was respected by men and women. In hindsight, it would not be the place for change in terms of my future. We now coin that movement as “Diversity and Inclusion”. I traveled, led many protests, witnessed court cases, and helped to host multi-regional conferences. I brought together over 200 organizations for many years. This single causality-known as PROGRESSION- I and the ones before me, represented, has yet to come. Many of the women were Caucasian and saw the leadership and passion within me. At the same time, according to the racial hierarchy of our nation from time without beginning, they knew that next to a Caucasian male they were next to benefit from those programs that were enacted in the 60’s and 70’s. They had been fighting ever since to keep them in place. Certain programs from that era were meant to benefit “minorities” but they often did not, and created instead “generational poverty”. Our prison systems are an excellent example of such disparities. Progression? Nah. But, without these programs we would be worse off (re-read President Johnson’s speech). We cannot assimilate and blend while losing our cultural identity. We must strive to not “tolerate”, but to accept, deeply understand each other in this world with kindness, love, and compassion. We are unique individuals with distinct commonality that begins with a conversation. This is what I do with my investors around the world. Let us not throw money at the problem, but let us grow and evolve from it while bringing others up and along with us.
I continued to create symphonies and my own genre while making audiences cry everytime I perform my words on stage. Again, while suffering more acts of dehumanization in my adult life. It would take 20 years to be rid of it. I suffered over 30 years of sexual trafficking, sexual violence, and domestic violence which includes: psychological terror, verbal abuse, emotional abuse, and physical violence. We believe that sexual slavery does not exist, it does! I am not defined by that life, only lived it. Cynthia Enviro sings, “Stand Up”. She says, “I got eyes in the back of my head, just in case I have to run… That’s why I’m gonna stand up take my people with me, together we are going to a brand new home…” All woman and children who have suffered such brutality sing with me! You can rise from muddy waters and you can cross the river. But, you need support from people who believe in you, and finances that support you beyond daily survival. Government programs will not get you there, it creates intergenerational dependency. My story is not for the have’s, it is for the have not’s (Karl Marx). It is about how to break through the impossible and make the possible a reality when all odds are against you from the time you took your first breath.
I have lived a life of homelessness, the longest five years on all levels.
I have 25 years background as a political strategist. I have 25 years background as a educational strategist-particularly special education, disabilities, and neurological disorders-such as autism. I have been motivationally speaking, dancing, poetry, and writing since I was a child. I have health and physical disabilities that I work on everyday as a result of my lifelong suffering. I have over 14 years experience working with investors. I am consistent, stable, and focused. I work with wealthy individuals because I have not EVER wanted what another person has, only my own.
I have lived a life of supposed fear, yet I fear nothing. I am a Goddess, I am Love, I am a Mother Bear to all cubs who need protection, I am a Warrior, I am a dancer of the moon, I am a Lioness, I am Freedom, I am Womb-an, I am Human, I am a Buddha, I am the Universe, I am Wealthy Within and Without, I am an Educator, I am a published writer and poet (then and now), I am a Motivational Speaker, I am an Indigenous Healer calling upon our ancestors, and when people speak to me they feel healed by an Angel-they say. One should be weary of their own selves who seek to stereotype, judge, wallow in pity towards me, give charity, or covet certain things that can help another person on their journey. One of those journey’s that I was sent to accomplish from the galactic portals is to help people here on this planet in generating wealth, not riches, wealth. Wealth my dear’s has many meanings. By helping others, I help myself, to not ever be “BROKE, BROKEN, OR HUNGRY AGAIN!” I choose to tell my story wherever I go and determine the time, place, and environment to do so. The power of pen to paper is the script needed to surpass the subconscious mind and to live in a state of high vibrational consciousness, whereby “I have a dream” and that dream must continue to come true. I am a REVOLUTIONARY REBEL! My strength carries all the continents of the world, all bodies of the water, and my soul illuminates the sun. I will NEVER GIVE UP!

I am humble and I give thanks every day. The people I choose to work with and represent are of the same caliber. My brand is “NIKI BELL”. It is quite simple. What do I do? I am a Global Strategic Advisor to Investors for over 14 years. I represent investors on a global scale. I represent the projects that they choose to invest in. I guide them on strategy or strategic maneuvers they need to make in order to make their deal flow effortless. I do not represent their securities, trades, or assets
I am well-educated, a researcher, and I rely heavily on data rather than social media. I seek to continue to establish economic stability, development, and growth worldwide. It all began when I asked to attend a cash investment team and conferences in real estate. I was supposed to be mentored, but the main honcho did not believe in me as he did others. I learned on my own- self-made- and to this day, I view any deal in any industry the same way. My investors either have the cash or they don’t. For investors this is what I do:
I have a unique value proposition like no other. I help my investors to execute on their due diligence process, mitigate risks, initiate-execute-and have a presence at the close of a deal. I financially investigate companies on the investors behalf. I give suggestions on which deals look promising-without advising. I represent him/her on timelines and deadlines pertaining to the deal for both the company and the investor(s). I review contracts on behalf of my investors. I keep stakeholders happy, I make sure my investors are in compliance with SEC and FINRA. I work closely with his/her lawyer(s). I streamline the processes. I am his/her gatekeeper. I am his right hand man, said on purpose and with purpose.
The most desirable qualification for my title is my endless and tireless expertise in keeping deal flow flowing and for multi-million/billion dollar projects that come to the investors table to be of worth. Meaning my investors already have existing deal flow and they need help with projects that they desire to invest in. There is no certification or certain degree required for what I do. I created my own niche, my own pool of investors, and yet I struggle just as much as the next person. We live in a cruel, apathetic society that simply does not get it. On social media we want “free”. In the business world we value a consultant like myself and “pay it forward”.
To an investor…There is no need for me to scout or present deals or projects. You already have an influx of them. You are looking for innovation that is new. You are looking for businesses that have scaled their growth in areas that demand their products or services. You are not looking for the next Facebook. You are looking for a health breakthrough, for example. You are human and you have a soul. You want professionals like myself who self-reflect who you are in terms of: transparency, honesty, integrity, and trust. You are surrounded by professionals who do not just want your money, but those who are loyal to you. You must be practical. Have sense and make sense. The other title that one may use to describe me is Investor Relations. None of what I do is new. None of it! I simply do not look the part of being a 45-60 year old white male. I do not attend the local golf events or hang out at the country club. I work! And I work like a dog. I do not need to be seen nor wish to be seen. I am a private individual representing the private sector of wealthy individuals who control their own money. I get hired on directly by either a firm, group, or individuals. This is by contract and through my consultancy services. What type of investors? Angel, private equity, wealthy families, wealthy offices, companies working on major projects who are using private funds, and individual investors. I also welcome advisory board positions where I can lend my expertise in the global strategic work that I do. If an investor belongs to a group or firm, that is okay. With regards to investments, they must invest with their own money initially. Can there be more than one investor involved in a deal? Yes. But, initially my investors invest in said projects with their own money, and by all means we keep it private. At the moment, Tibetan bells are calming my passion while I embrace my crown chakra revealing the third eye with my mind’s sight. We give expression to trends and labels when speaking of growth. I have no labels. I simply KNOW without expectation. There is a knowing that I cannot explain. Windchimes outside are dancing joyously in the wind on this fall breeze.
It was investors that encouraged me to get paid for my skills. In the women world- to some, they have said to me- I am too bold to charge potential clients. I am too wise to NOT! I am a strategist and I have been strategizing my entire life. I am a REVOLUTIONARY REBEL!

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The lesson I had to unlearn and learn… In the private sector there is absolutely no diversity and inclusion. I knew this coming into this field. Hold your thoughts and hold your breath for two long minutes. Now, come up for air. There is a separation of vibration and there is a silent decree declared. Ethics and sound business practices are not common. Even if one is on their way to obtaining wealth, they want things for free, which is an impoverished mentally, especially when asking me to get on board with that type of mindset. I am the camel’s back that cannot be broken. Another lesson, you can break your back and still get nowhere. It is perseverance that pays off. Another lesson, people do not like to hear the truth. Also, if you think people have common sense, think again-this has been told to me countless times. My way of doing things and executing on important matters is known as being practical, such an ideology and way of being, is not common. The biggest lesson is that people are led by their own ego, greed, and aggression. I am in the industry but very much an outsider by several degrees. Some investors have incorporated the government red tape into their due diligence process concerning companies and startups who are in need of obtaining funding with demo days and pitch decks; and certain investor groups continue to make it extremely difficult for such companies to obtain funding. I streamline the process instead. I am still building and looking for computer and software engineers, data scientists; and with the hopes of partnering with marketing and sales professionals. I stay consistent, but pivot and change when necessary.
According to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), “an estimated 305 million startups are created annually. In 2023, there are an increasing number of startups focused on financial technology (fintech), artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain technology, and data management.” I represent over 100 industries. In addition, the top 11 trends this year 2023 by CBInsights are: “Immortality-as-a-service, The secret invasion of super apps, Fintech’s rapid regeneration, Bots in the house (Humanoids), Virtual power plants, Healthcare’s invisibility trick, Smell goes digital, Femtech turns to menopause, The bio-based materials boom, India’s tech ascent, Regeneratives Agatech takes root.” I would like to add ChatGPT to this list.
Moving on… as I lay my book about Poncho Villa and Ché on the table. Vincente Fernandez, a legend, is humming on one of his songs in the background while I continue to sage my home. You have to be an actual investor that needs a strategic professional who has the expertise and insight into the major projects that you are interested in investing in or you have a demand for entities needing funding from you in order to pursue my services. I am not Chief of Staff, Executive Secretary, project manager, or business analyst that prepares presentations. I am a Global Strategic Advisor.

Small Businesses seeking retirement and wanting to be bought out, instead of leaving the company to management to run the business, such as: nursing homes, home care facilities, etc. I nor my investors are interested.
Many people in my industry want money or funding. But no one wants to strategize efficiently and effectively for maximum results. This level of thinking is ludicrous because one is not thinking nor being practical in their “ask”. There are certain people who do not seek to gain a long term business relationship. They only want money. I am not for you, nor can I help you, and such a result cannot be gained from me. I cannot be taken advantage of, used for profit, or my skill set be disregarded. If you do not seek strategy of any sort, whether a company, investor, or business and are willing to pay me per hour, per strategic session, per project, AND with a success fee paid to me- NOT OR – then it is not in your best interest to contact me. You must be willing to invest in yourself. If you want my expertise then come see me in person, and at first by video. Anyone on social media whether Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, etc can say anything on their profile and give themselves titles. But in-person along with a video call first, for me, it has eliminated a lot of nonsense, scammers, and empty promises.

The song would be used in the future for freedom activists or those struggling for some kind of justice. “I have a dream”, that must be disrupted. It is those very sad words “I don’t need your services” that I pity the fool.

If you are an investor looking for funding. Stop calling yourself an investor. I cannot help you. There is a reason why you have no money or are looking for funding and still calling yourself an investor. It’s an oxymoron. I wish you the best in this regard.
You cannot place labels by way of race, creed, religion, gender, etc on me. When I mention certain things, it is a fact. 90% of the private sector and private money is owned and run by White males. It is a fact. Also they are typically over the age of 50. It is a fact. And this was told to me by several White men over the years. Many had no intention of working with me, and only the few that remained with me, I keep close to the vest. The other side of the coin is that there are many youth driven investors that are overlooked. They strategically found a way; but often times are extremely cocky. Furthermore, there is no diversity and inclusion in the private sector because we do not have to abide by that rule. Why? Because it is not a government entity. This is a fact. Are all 1% er’s White? No. Where I live is called America. And in America no matter our background, we have the freedom to choose. You can choose to have an impoverished mindset. You can choose to make excuses as to why you are stagnant, or you can choose to blame others, “It’s not me it’s them.” Or you can choose to say we are all human beings. I work with people from all continents, Asian investor projects, African investor projects, European investor projects, Latin investor projects, Arabic investor projects, and more. I can digest facts and then find a way to make my own way and override the status quo. Generational wealth is no one’s fault, even poverty? Why? Why disregard disparity? It is not disparity when you say and believe that you have a right to choose whatever you want to logically do in life… and you know you just need to find your own way!!! You cannot look at my culture (Latina); or race (which is usually one’s misguided assumption rather than asking); or look at my gender-which is female- and say “Well, Niki found a way and now she can help me for free.” But in that same breath you will pay $1000s of dollars to someone else with the same expertise. I say “Bye. No thank you.” I see these types of people daily, usually on the internet and some in person.
People get a grip on reality! If you see me as a human being with an invaluable skill set that you want to hire, talk to, consult with, network, build a long term business relationship with, represent you, guide you, and more. Then by all means connect with me. What are you waiting for! I am not bold for charging people for my time and expertise. I am a business person. I am not aggressive and I need for folks to stop using words that have absolutely nothing to do with me. I am not even assertive when said with such negative connotation. I am a spiritual being that is aligned with my purpose and mission. I will continue to find people along my path who believe in me, appreciate me, and feel as though we are at the very least of like- minds. We aer living on this planet called EARTH, doing the best we can to make a difference, and contributing positively to humanity. Do not lose out on the opportunity to get to know an amazing individual like myself. Take a leap of faith in yourself and you will soar… because I believe in you! And hopefully, you believe in me too. It took eons of strength, perseverance, determination, and conviction to be right here, right now in this time, space, and reality …humbling myself with such love, and appreciation for myself and for those who choose to walk with me. I will not apologize for being me. I am a messenger of the universe. And I have spoken nothing more than the truth. My past was the path to this moment and one that I do not wish to relive but because I have lived such a way. It is for me to continue to change whatever needs to be changed from within. Yes! It begins from within. I was born a leader and I will not be silenced. I do not belong to one community, I belong to ALL communities. I have walked this path without support my entire life, and I refuse to continue to walk this path alone. I have been revolutionizing everything I touch and turning it into ethers of worthy diamonds for my entire life. With all of my being I send this message with compassion that the REVOLUTIONARY REBEL within all of us shall set you free!!! As Aerosmith’s voice blasts softly in the background singing “Janie’s Gotta Gun”… Remember, “I have a Dream” because “I WILL NEVER BE BROKE, BROKEN, OR HUNGRY AGAIN!”
