Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Niki and Drew. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Niki and, thanks for joining us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
We named our company Get Dirty Adventure Co. as an ode to two of our favorite things: Being outside, and baseball. Ricky Henderson said “If my uniform doesn’t get dirty, I haven’t done anything in the baseball game.” We feel like the same goes for any adventure, if we didn’t get dirty, did we do anything?

Niki and, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
We are two friends who share a love for adventure and being outdoors. Niki has always had a passion for photography and wanted a way to share her pictures and experiences. While we started as purely a photography company, we wanted to be more. We want to not only share our experiences and adventures, but also want to teach people to be responsible when outdoors and help preserve the beautiful nature around us. In addition to selling all photographs we post, we have recently started a website and blog where we hope to share even more about us and our adventures. We currently have two photos hung at a local coffee shop in Boulder City, Nevada, the Dam Roast House, and that is what we are most proud of. We love being part of our local community and look forward to sharing more about us.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
We met working together at our local ski resort in the winter of 2018. Niki was a lift operator and I (Drew) was a Ski Patroller. One day while prepping the slopes before opening, it was snowing pretty good and I was looking for a place to warm up. Niki was in the lift shack I chose to hole up in and we started talking about dogs and baseball and knew we were going to be good friends. As a Ski Patroller and Liftie, we worked closely together all season and by the end of the year we were taking our first adventure, a road trip to Phoenix for a baseball game. Over the years we have truly become adventure buddies, we hike, camp, kayak, snowboard, and anything else we can manage to get ourselves into.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
We love being able to share the beauty of our national parks and other lands with people around the world who may not know about a lot of these amazing places.
