We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Nicole Mccormack a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

I view Impact Glamour as the cornerstone of my legacy, a reflection of my belief that my company’s success will help me fulfill my life’s purpose: to serve others by spreading love through my passions. As I’ve navigated the ups and downs of my entrepreneurial journey, I’ve discovered new goals and aspirations. Each challenge has not only altered my vision but has also clarified it, inspiring me to pursue new ideas with a sense of duty to leave a positive mark on the world, especially in my son’s life.
After I’m gone, I hope people will remember my determination, fueled by resilience, and my commitment to uplifting those around me. Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Nicole McCormack, the founder of Impact Glamour, where my passion lies in enhancing beauty through luxury lash extensions and a variety of beauty services. Our space also features a professional lash shop, offering a complete line of Impact Glamour lash supplies alongside products from other leading brands in the industry.
One of my deepest passions is empowering women through our in-person 4-5 day lash certification courses. I’ve designed a comprehensive training experience that provides graduates with a solid foundation as lash artists. A key part of this program is our commitment to mentorship; alumni can return to our academy location at 19674 NW 27th Ave in Miami Gardens, Florida, to practice or shadow our experienced lash techs. This support is crucial in the early stages of a lash artist’s career, ensuring they never feel alone or lost after their training. It’s no surprise that Impact Glamour Lash Academy has built an outstanding reputation as the launching pad for some of South Florida’s most successful lash artists.
My journey into the beauty industry began with a desire to empower individuals to express themselves confidently. After exploring various aspects of beauty, I identified a gap in the market for premium, accessible lash products that cater to diverse needs and preferences.
At Impact Glamour, we offer a range of luxurious lashes that are stylish, cruelty-free, and crafted from high-quality materials. Our goal is to help clients feel beautiful and confident, whether they’re preparing for a special occasion or simply want to elevate their everyday look. We also provide personalized consultations to ensure clients find the perfect lashes that suit their unique styles.
What sets me apart is my commitment to authenticity and connection. I believe in creating a community around beauty, where every client feels valued and understood. I actively seek customer feedback, allowing me to continuously improve our offerings. My personal journey has shaped my understanding of resilience and self-love, principles that are deeply woven into the ethos of my brand.
I’m incredibly proud of the positive impact I’ve had on my clients’ lives. Hearing their stories of newfound confidence and self-expression motivates me to keep pushing forward. I want potential clients and followers to know that Impact Glamour is more than just a beauty brand; it’s a movement that champions self-love and empowerment. Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Toward the end of 2022, my lease for the Impact Glamour headquarters, where I had built my business for five years, was coming to an end. I knew it was time to pivot, either by opening a new location or moving to a more visible space. My original location in Miami Lakes was somewhat hidden on the second floor of a plaza and not situated on a main avenue.
I embarked on this journey with my good friend and realtor, Carla Moras, who had been my lash client over a decade ago when I first started my career. The prospect of searching for a new home for Impact Glamour became even more special with her support, as she had witnessed the ups and downs of my entrepreneurial journey.
We began our search across Miami, Broward County, and the surrounding areas. After three months, I found my dream location in a vibrant, high-traffic area of downtown Miami—on the legendary Flagler Street and Biscayne Boulevard. For any Miami native and business owner, this was prime real estate with incredible visibility. After negotiating the lease, everything seemed perfect: I secured an amazing location at a reasonable price and still had three months left in my current lease, allowing me to plan my move without rush.
However, as the saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. After three months of building and design preparation, I learned that neighboring businesses in the same building were facing issues obtaining their operating licenses due to inaccurate building plans. Unfortunately, this also applied to my new location. As a result, all the tenants, including myself, had to seek legal help to recover our deposits, which the landlord eventually approved.
The reality hit hard: I had lost three months and was now starting from scratch after already turning in the keys to my old location. During this time, I felt lost and discouraged, even contemplating ending the Impact Glamour era and moving to another country. Yet, a persistent voice inside me kept saying, “This is happening for a reason. Keep going.” I realized that quitting would mean giving up on myself and setting a poor example for my son.
I held onto my dreams and leaned on my loved ones, including Carla, who was more motivated than ever to continue the search. After another three months of searching, I discovered the fast-growing city of Miami Gardens, which is projected to become a tourist hotspot by 2026. I found my new business home in the Stadium Corners Plaza, directly across from the Hard Rock Stadium.
When I walked into the space and envisioned the many events that would take place at the stadium, I felt a surge of inspiration. The unit had been beautifully remodeled by the previous tenant, and I immediately recognized this as the light at the end of the dark tunnel I had been navigating.
Now, a year after opening in this new location, everything makes sense. I firmly believe that everything in my life happens for a reason. The new space has already generated exciting cross-marketing opportunities with events like concerts for Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Rolling Loud, Formula 1, NASCAR, and both college and professional football games.
We are creating a buzz in the community and maintaining a five-star rating. This experience has reinforced my belief in resilience and the importance of following one’s vision, even when faced with adversity.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Ten years ago, when Instagram was still in its infancy, I transitioned from being a freelance makeup artist to a lash artist. At that time, YouTube was the dominant platform for beauty content, while Instagram was just starting to gain traction in Miami. The first wave of Instagram models and influencers was emerging, creating a new landscape for beauty professionals.
As one of the few lash salons in the area and the only provider of eyelash extensions on Groupon at the time, I quickly built a loyal clientele. Over time, I discovered that many of my regular clients were influencers themselves. They often shared their experiences with me and introduced the idea of collaborations. Inspired by their success, I decided to reach out and partner with local women who had fast-growing social media accounts and embodied my ideal client.
This strategy gradually established my credibility as an authority and expert in the lash industry. By working with influencers who aligned with my brand, I was able to tap into their audiences and expand my reach significantly.
For anyone just starting to build their social media presence, my key advice is to embrace your unique self when creating content. Authenticity is crucial—people connect with people. Share your journey, your struggles, and your successes. This transparency not only builds trust but also fosters a deeper connection with your audience. Understanding your ideal client and engaging with them directly is essential for growing your niche.
Additionally, consistency is vital. Regularly posting high-quality content and engaging with your audience through comments and messages helps to maintain interest and build community. Utilize stories and reels to showcase behind-the-scenes content, tutorials, or client transformations, as these formats tend to resonate well with followers.
Lastly, don’t be afraid to collaborate and network. Building relationships within your industry can lead to valuable partnerships that enhance your visibility. Remember, social media is not just about promoting your services; it’s about creating a community where people feel seen, heard, and inspired.
By focusing on authenticity, consistency, and connection, you can cultivate a dedicated audience that will support you and your brand as it grows.
