Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nick Page. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Nick thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
I’ve Taken risks all my life. Well, I was rather comfortable with who I was up until about 17 years old. I started to take much more risks in my life. I started to question authority, at what I think was a late age. I stopped going to school for a business risk. It worked out in a lot of ways, and in a lot of ways it didn’t. That’s life. It’s a journey not a destination. I know, “so cliche” but it’s true.

Nick, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Charleston, South Carolina is a great place for cover bands. They can play for 3 hours, at bigger venues, and private events, and it pays well. Our band M30 likes to play covers, but our setlist mainly consists of 45-60 minutes of original music with 3 to 5 cover songs in the mix. Most bands nowadays, start off as cover bands or “house bands” to get the funds and following, which is a great strategy, and I don’t put down any bands that take that route. I have alot of friends who do that. It’s smart. I just didnt want to do that. I like writing, and playing music that I want to play, and luckily we’ve been given the opportunity to do that consistently while having time to record and put out music on all streaming platforms.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
I watch a lot of YouTube videos, so I’d be a liar if I said it wasn’t significant in a way that I’m able to watch so many videos or podcasts, with so many influential people in the world that we live in today. I don’t listen to as much music as you’d think. I love reading autobiography, but my favorite book is “The Laws of Human Nature” by Robert Green. I find human behavior extremely fascinating and it’s really a great read if you’re interested in that topic or not.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
By being and artist I just try ti make the best art as possible. It makes me happy to see people enjoy it, as most would, but that’s the most rewarding part. Money is great, but knowing you truly entertained the audience is the most satisfying feeling an artist can have, in my opinion.
