Nia, appreciate you joining us today. Looking back, what’s an important lesson you learned at a prior job?
An important lesson I learned from a prior job was the value of communication, organization, and attention to detail — all of which I carry into Crave N Creations today. I learned that how you treat people and how you handle challenges speaks just as loudly as the final result. In high-pressure environments, things don’t always go as planned, but staying calm, professional, and solution-focused makes all the difference.
That experience taught me to be more intentional with my clients, clearer in my processes, and more disciplined in my operations. It helped shape how I run Crave N Creations — from planning menus and managing time, to delivering consistent quality and ensuring every client feels heard and valued.

I grew up in the kitchen with my grandmother — my “NaNa” — and that’s truly where my love for cooking began. As a curious child, I was always right beside her, mixing bowls, stirring pots, and carefully shaking in seasonings. Those moments shaped my passion for food and hospitality. I officially entered this industry after being encouraged by the overwhelming support and feedback I received from family and friends who regularly requested my dishes for holidays and special occasions.
Through Crave N Creations, I provide food and beverage products along with personal chef and catering services, serving everything from intimate dinners to larger events. No event is too small or too big. What I believe sets me apart is my blend of warm, attentive customer service, high-quality ingredients, and fully customizable menu options. I take pride in tailoring each experience to fit my clients’ preferences, needs, and vision, so every service feels personal and intentional.
What I am most proud of is turning a childhood passion into a thriving business that brings people together through food. I’m also proud of building genuine relationships with my clients and creating memorable experiences that go beyond just a meal.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
Yes — what began as a side hustle has grown into my full-time business. Cooking has always been a passion of mine. Over the years, I naturally became the person family and friends turned to for meals, holiday dishes, and special desserts. At the time, I never saw it as a business — I simply loved cooking and bringing people together through food.
As requests started to increase, someone finally encouraged me to invest in myself and take my talent seriously. That conversation was a turning point. From there, I took the necessary steps to formalize my business, obtain the proper credentials, and operate legally. What started as cooking for loved ones has now evolved into a thriving business where I serve regular clients through meal prep, catering, romantic dinners, and personal chef services.

I believe my reputation in the market has been built on a combination of consistency, quality, and genuine care for my customers. First and foremost, I pride myself on providing exceptional customer service. I truly believe kindness goes a long way, and I make it a priority to create warm, positive interactions with every client — whether that’s checking in on them, being attentive to their needs, or simply wishing them well. People can feel when service comes from a sincere place, and that connection matters.
Secondly, quality is a top priority in everything I serve. I personally source fresh ingredients daily from trusted stores and markets, and I prepare all orders fresh and made-to-order for pickups and events. This ensures that every dish meets my standards and delivers the best possible taste and experience.
That balance of thoughtful customer service and high-quality, flavorful food has helped me build trust with my clients, turning first-time customers into loyal supporters who confidently refer me to others.
