Neal, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear a story from back when you were an intern or apprentice. What’s a memorable story you can share with us?
I began my real estate career in the role of listings manager in 2007 for the International Realty Trust (IRT) Group. As the year might suggest, this was a time of tremendous uncertainty in the south Florida real estate market. Fortunately, I was under the tutelage of two tremendous personalities.
My first 18 months in real estate seemed like a single day stuck on repeat. The clients who bought properties only a few months prior were now represented by us to market and resale their units in an oversaturated market where fear was the flavor of the day. Having to explain to international property owners that their sound investment in U.S. real estate may not yield the immediate returns desired was an uncomfortable, but familiar occurrence.
The lessons I learned during that first 18 months in real estate keep me grounded 15 years later and are foundational in my pillars of success. Possessing the ability to skillfully deliver unpleasant news proactively made all the difference in my experience during that tough market and resulted in us retaining and selling 100% of our listing inventory when the media days on market were 400+ days. Holding fast to values, honest communication, and w0rld-renowned service positioned me to advance through various positions over 8 1/2 years before opening my own bespoke brokerage serving global buyers and affluent home sellers.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Providing world-class service throughout every interaction with a prospect or client has allowed me to grow my business more than any other activity I can track. My goal with each transaction is multiplication. Our marketing strategy follows the same premise as Walt Disney. If World Renowned Real Estate can transform a transaction into an experience worth telling others about and make them want to experience the same quality of service, we have succeeded.
I am a firm believer that it is unprofessional to ask for referrals before actually earning that referral. My standard for “earning a referral” is exceeding at least one expectation during each phase of the transaction. When we execute at this level consistently, we keep our raving fans telling colleagues, family, and friends why they can only use World Renowned Real Estate for their luxury home marketing needs.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
My reputation rests entirely on authenticity and market knowledge. I have learned that clients, colleagues, and affiliates appreciate knowing who they will interact with regardless of the day, circumstances, or market conditions. Additionally, having an understanding of market statistics and trends has been a tremendous benefit to ascending within my market and the industry. Being able to research, compile, and disseminate relevant data in ways my clientele can easily understand is one of my greatest skills.
