We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nate Johnston. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nate below.
Alright, Nate thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One of our favorite things to brainstorm about with friends who’ve built something entrepreneurial is what they would do differently if they were to start over today. Surely, there are things you’ve learned that would allow you to do it over faster, more efficiently. We’d love to hear how you would go about setting things up if you were starting over today, knowing everything that you already know.
Some of the biggest things I would change would be, focus on building a strong brand that highlights your unique value and expertise. Use social media to showcase properties and success stories. Prioritize networking to build strong relationships with clients, other agents, and community members. Utilize technology like CRM tools and virtual tours to streamline operations and enhance client experience. Stay consistent with branding and marketing to stand out in the competitive market.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Im a local realtor in Minnesota. Im going on four years in the industry. I was originally with Keller Williams Realty for my first year and a half. Shortly after that I met Tyler Miller with the Tyler Miller team at eXp realty. And realized how much value I was missing on giving my clients. To the trainings and new tools that he has not just provided to me but our entire team we have successfully closed over 1600 homes. I truly believe one of the biggest assets we have are when you decide to work with an agent on our team, Not only do you get to work with them, You also get the support of 20+ other agents that are helping you as well. Lets not forget Kaela kullman who is the backbone of our team who never takes a day off and is always there for us agents and for our clients, and I believe that is what separates us from everyone else.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
One of the best tips i can give when trying to grow a social media audience is dont worry about the likes. The amount of people that have come up to me over the years saying how they saw me doing this or that on social media but never liked it is through the roof. Stay consistent on posting, It doesn’t always have to be real estate related also. lastly just be yourself and stay consistent.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Best strategy that has helped me grow my business and clientele is social media and word of mouth. Go out and create those relationships. Talk to everyone, you never know who might be looking to buy a house.
