We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Natalie Moore a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Natalie, thanks for joining us today. I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being an artist or creative force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?
I am very happy as an artist and creative! I have experienced working regular jobs before and I can confidently say that I definitely prefer the creative path.

Natalie, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am an actress and singer located in Los Angeles, California. I have been acting and singing for most of my life. I have loved singing ever since I was a little girl and used to put on pretend concerts in my basement. I then started getting involved in musical theatre when I was about 10 years old which sparked the acting bug in me. When I was 13 I decided I wanted to pursue acting more seriously and started taking acting classes, auditioning, etc. Since then I have worked on many short films, music videos, plays/musicals, and a few commercials. The roles I am most proud of would be the role of Chelsea in the short film Life Like This and the role of Hannah in Hidden Lives, both written and directed by Abraham Lopez at A Greek God Entertainment. These were very fun roles for me to play and the films are very close to my heart.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
There have been a few times over the course of my acting and singing career that things have not worked out the way I wanted them to. This happens sometimes in the entertainment industry because it is a very risk oriented business so you have to take a lot of chances with no guarantee of whether it will work out or not. When things like this have happened I have had to shift my mindset, make new plans, etc. It can be challenging sometimes, but it builds resilience which is an important skill to have as a creative.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
There are a few! One of the main ones I have is to be a positive influence on people, especially the younger generations and those struggling with things such as depression and anxiety.
