We were lucky to catch up with Nash Fung recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Nash, thanks for joining us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
Legacy is a lofty idea. To be honest I haven’t thought that far in advance. But as a speaker, I hope to be remembered as someone who did a lot of goods in the world, someone who had positively impacted others, to help them get to where they want to go.

Nash, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Before I became a keynote speaker, I had a rather unique journey working as a professional magician by day while volunteering at the crisis line at night. Magic taught me how to captivate an audience from the stage and artfully taking them on a journey. Volunteering at the crisis line taught me how to empower others through empathy…. and then I thought, what if I could combine the knowledge from these 2 worlds to inspire others?
Today, I’m honored to be invited to speak at many corporate leadership summits and conferences, teaching attendees the skill of empathetic communication, inspiring them to be an empathetic leader who helps their team thrive in a supportive environment, to lead with empathy and make everyone around them feel listened to, understood, valued, and empowered.
And with my background as a professional magician, I’m able to utilize magic as a vehicle to illustrate my key messages, creating a fun learning experience that is unlike most keynote presentations

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a keynote speaker is truly the conversations attendees share with me afterwards. Hearing them feeling inspired, sharing with me the things they have learned and how they are ready to go back to their world and use empathy to make a difference, is the fuel that kept me going.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
When I was a magician, a lot of the creative works revolve around how to create a sense of wonder in the audience, but inherently there’s a certain level of focus on “how do I look as cool as possible”; but as a keynote speaker, it is 100% not about you. It is about the knowledge you share. It is about how you can impart wisdom to help others make a difference. That is the mission behind this creative journey
