We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Nasa Bawa a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Nasa, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
I believe that the best businesses solve a problem for people. I always knew that I would help others in some way but I didn’t know how at first. I am passionate about people learning who they are so that they can live the life that they were destined to live. So, my business really found me. When my gifts began to manifest I was afraid of what I was experiencing, then I spent years looking for teachers, reading books, and overdosing on YouTube videos trying to learn how to enhance my gifts in a safe way.
Then I spent years trying to figure out who to help and how I would help them. This caused me to spend thousands of dollars on YouTube courses, certifications, Instagram courses, and so much more! One of the key tenants I teach my phase 3 clients is to monetize your magic.
So I use my journey as a guide to help others. I help Healers, Empaths, and Intuitives discover their gifts, expand their abilities, and then monetize their magic so they can help others. I am here to build an army so I take that very seriously.
My program is three-prong, first I nurture my clients making them feel safe to accept their uniqueness, then I help them learn how to use those abilities, and if they want to help others, I show them how to put the infrastructure behind monetizing their own magic.
I like to think I’m a one-stop shop for anyone that is called to guide others through the spiritual awakening process.
Nasa, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a psychic medium that works as a Spiritual Life Coach and my super client is the person that has emerging spiritual gifts that they want to nurture, enhance, and then use to help others. This has not been an easy journey at all. The Spiritual awakening process is difficult. When I first started I bought into a lot of concepts born of toxic positivity. I thought that becoming less religious and more spiritual would be an accelerated way for me to be happy and fulfilled. Most healers use toxic positivity and paint a very rosy picture of the spiritual awakening process. But the truth is that awakening spiritually is scary, it is confronting, and physically painful. This is why many leave spirituality and then go back to religion. There is blissful ignorance believing that something outside of you is creating your experience.
My favorite quote is by Carl Jung. “There’s no coming to consciousness without pain.” “One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.” “Show me a sane man and I will cure him for you.” “People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own souls.
Taking the red pill of awakening is to face all parts of yourself even the parts that some view as dark or ugly. It is painful to sit with yourself, to realize you have unconsciously created a life you don’t desire, and then it is even more challenging to go through the steps to reprogram your DNA code so that you can begin to create the life that will make you comfortable on this planet.
Your body literally aches as you change it and mold it so you can live a new reality. It’s equivalent to gestating in the womb, going through the birthing process, growing up, and then dying over and over again until you emerge fully as the soul that you were meant to be. You are literally reincarnating over and over again within your current body without the aid of physical death.
This is why I have created the programs that I have created. People do not have to go through this process alone. And it is extremely helpful to have someone that understands this process and can guide you. My clients usually come to me already having some type of spiritual experience, I make them feel safe to know that what they are going through is normal, then I work with them to enhance their gifts whatever they are. Many of my clients go on to use their gifts to help others, so for those people, I help them set up the infrastructure to get their business started. This process can take anywhere from 6 months to a year depending on where the healer is in their journey. I am building an army of Healers, Intuitives, and Empaths that can spread like a holy virus to help people to awaken all over this planet.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to unlearn the hustle-hard paradigm. The culture convinces you that you have to stay up long hours and sacrifice life in order to be successful. That is definitely one-way to be successful for sure, however, what I have found is that wealth is built not necessarily through sweat and tears.
It is built on cycles in which you must visualize, create, fail, and repeat. Most people are uncomfortable with failure or they feel that being an entrepreneur will take them away from some part of their life that is comfortable.
This doesn’t have to be the case. I spend a lot of time visualizing before I move forward on a task. I build the blueprint of what I want in my head and then I begin working on the mindset that is necessary to achieve, and then I move into action. This process allows me to let my idea take form in a way that is natural so that I can be in the journey of business and less attached to the outcome.
A business is most sustainable when you are helping people solve a problem and not starting a business just to make money. Money comes when you are truly aligned with why you are helping people.
Have you ever had to pivot?
I have pivoted all throughout my career and my business. At first glance, one might think that I was all over the place in my career and business. I started in Radio marketing, then went to food retail marketing for a National natural grocer chain, and then I ended my professional career with an insurance company. However, I use what I have learned at each one of those companies in my own business.
Working in Radio helped me learn how to focus on tactical marketing, working in grocery retail helped me learn strategy, and working in Insurance helped me to learn how to educate others on complicated subjects. Life is a journey for the soul, I think it’s important not to get too attached to any idea. This versatility allowed me to evolve in my own business. I started doing tarot and making jewelry, then I began helping others really tap into their spiritual gifts, and now I’m specifically focusing on healers, empaths, and intuitive.
I believe jumping industries in my professional career taught me not to get too attached to how I was making money, but to become more aware of the skills I needed to learn in order to one-day be prepared to run my own business.
