We were lucky to catch up with Nadir Lumos recently and have shared our conversation below.

NADIR, appreciate you joining us today. How do you think about vacations as a business owner? Do you take them and if so, how? If you don’t, why not?

Absolutely, I take vacations — in fact, travel is how I ignite my creative spark! As a singer-songwriter and producer, combining traveling with my creative process is non-negotiable because every new horizon and cultural experience informs my ideas.

NADIR, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I’m an R&B artist out of Atlanta, and I’m all about the journey—especially when it comes to spirituality and emotional journeys, something I think a lot of men don’t talk about enough. My music’s got that vibe where you can chill and dance to it, but it’s also hitting deeper with topics like gratitude and growth. I want you to feel the beat, vibe out, and still reflect on life, love, and trusting yourself to keep leveling up.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

I had to unlearn that being someone’s everything isn’t the same as being there for them. Like I used to think that if I wasn’t constantly proving my love or trying to fix things, I’d lose the relationship, but really, it just made me lose myself—now I know real love is dynamic and creates room for you to evolve.

How did you build your audience on social media?

Building my audience on social media has been challenging at times. I started with just a few friends vibing to my tunes and gradually expanding as I shared more of my authentic self. I found that being real, showing my creative process, and engaging with my followers made all the difference; it’s about quality over quantity, so don’t sweat those big numbers at the start. My advice? Stay consistent, connect with your audience through content you like to create, and remember, every follower is a person who believes in you and your art—treat them like family! Bring some positive energy whenever you’re making content and show parts of your life experience you’re comfortable sharing.
