We were lucky to catch up with Nadia Trimble recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Nadia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you share a customer success story with us?
I had a woman in her 20’s come in for a consultation to discuss her acne, it was something she was incredibly insecure about. She had tried many different avenues trying to clear her skin, and even got to the point of trying prescription medication that made other issues a million times worse. When she came to me and told me everything she had been going through I truly felt for her and wanted to try anything in my power to help her. I set up a complete skincare plan for her – from how often she’d come to see me, to products at home, to diet. Within a month she started seeing quite a difference, and it got better and better from there on. Once we finally got to our desired goal for her skin she hugged me and cried tears of joy. It was one of the most meaningful experiences of my career. Being able to make that much of a difference in a persons life is truly amazing.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Nadia and I am the owner and aesthetician of Nadia Trimble Aesthetics. For as long as I can remember I have always had a love for the beauty industry as a whole. As I got older, I realized my true passion was skincare, so at 18 I decided to go to esthetician school and got my license at 19. While I was in school I discovered I had more of a draw towards the medical side of things rather than things such as permanent makeup, waxing or lash extensions. I realized I could truly make a difference in peoples skin and their confidence. Right out of school I was fortunate enough to get my dream job working for two doctors at a dermatology office. Working there for two years, I gained invaluable knowledge. After two years of the commute, I wanted something closer to home. So I started working at a medical spa for a nurse practitioner and plastic surgeon. After being there for a year, I had the opportunity to open my own business. I have now had my own business for two years and it has been such an amazing experience that I wouldn’t trade for anything! At Nadia Trimble Aesthetics, I offer various types of facials, chemical peels, microchanneling, LED therapy and radio frequency treatments. I have an immense passion for helping people achieve their skincare goals and I think that is really what sets me apart from other aestheticians. I also do not believe in pushing product like a lot of aestheticians. That was a struggle at my previous jobs, it was part of my job description to sell products – even if I didn’t believe in the product. So now owning my own business, I can carefully pick and choose which products I wholeheartedly recommend to clients.
Because I truly love what I do and care for people, I am incredibly proud to say that I have been named one of the top two aestheticians in Charlotte County. I can’t wait to see what the near future brings!
How did you build your audience on social media?
Social media is definitely not as easy as it seems. It takes time and consistency to build a following. At first I barely posted, but then I realized how many clients you really can get from social media platforms. So I made it a goal to post at least once a week and since I have done that, I’ve gotten countless clients that have found me through my Instagram. I post things that people have questions about in the skincare industry, reminders about what products you should be using for your skin type, etc.
Post on your story daily, and post reels at least once a week!
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Google is where most clients have found me. My amazing clients leave Google reviews that put me higher and higher on the search page. Reviews help more than you realize. At first I was always scared to ask my clients to leave a review, but I have never had anyone say no!
