At MyBPM Streetwear, our mission is deeply rooted in our passion for the rave and EDM community. We recognized a significant gap in the market: a lack of premium quality apparel that truly represents the spirit, values, and lifestyle of ravers. Most existing apparel targets festival merchandise, missing the essence of what it means to be a part of this vibrant community.
Our journey began with the realization that ravers often feel compelled to hide their passion due to societal misconceptions linking raving with negative stereotypes. However, we believe in the powerful values of P.L.U.R (Peace, Love, Unity, Respect) that the rave culture embodies. These values promote a sense of belonging, acceptance, and positivity, which we wanted to extend beyond the dance floor.
The magic and feeling of being unapologetically oneself should not be confined to raves and festivals. We envisioned a brand that empowers ravers to express their identity proudly wherever they go. Hello, I’m Farrice Cain, and along with my wife, Jennifer Santulan, we are the proud founders of MyBPM Streetwear. Our journey into the rave and EDM fashion scene began with an intense passion for the culture and a desire to express the unique energy it embodies. During countless nights spent dancing under the neon lights, we realized that our community deserved more than just generic festival merchandise. We needed apparel that genuinely reflected our spirit and sophistication.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Absolutely. When Jen and I decided to start MyBPM Streetwear, we were stepping into completely uncharted territory. With my background as a certified personal trainer and health & wellness coach for over 16 years, and Jen’s experience as a real estate agent for more than 11 years, fashion and lifestyle branding were entirely new to us.
Initially, we didn’t have extra funds to invest in the brand. Every aspect of the business, from design to marketing, had to be learned from scratch. We faced numerous challenges, from understanding fabric quality to mastering social media marketing. Each mistake was a lesson, every setback a stepping stone. But our biggest challenge came at the beginning of 2020, right after our launch, when the world was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. With all events and in-person activities cancelled, our primary avenues for brand promotion vanished overnight. It was a daunting period filled with uncertainty.
However, we refused to let these obstacles defeat us. Instead, we pivoted our strategy to focus on building an online community. We engaged with ravers through social media, hosted virtual events, and created content that resonated with our audience’s values of unity and positivity. These efforts not only kept our brand alive but also strengthened our connection with the community.
Looking back, I am grateful for the resilience these experiences fostered in us. They taught us invaluable lessons about adaptability, perseverance, and the power of a strong community. Today, those tough times have become the foundation upon which we continue to build and grow MyBPM Streetwear. Our journey through adversity has reinforced our mission to create a world grounded in unity, love, and positivity, reflecting the true spirit of rave culture.


Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building our audience on social media was both a challenge and an adventure. When we launched MyBPM Streetwear, we knew that connecting with the rave and EDM community online would be crucial. We started by immersing ourselves in the culture on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, engaging authentically with our audience.
Building the Audience:
We began by sharing our story and the values behind MyBPM Streetwear—Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect (P.L.U.R). Our posts featured behind-the-scenes looks at our design process, stories from our own rave experiences, and user-generated content from our customers. We collaborated with influencers and attended virtual events, creating content that resonated deeply with the community.
A pivotal moment came when we hosted a virtual rave event during the Covid-19 pandemic. This event not only kept our audience engaged but also attracted new followers who were looking for ways to stay connected during lockdowns. It showcased our commitment to the community and our ability to adapt and innovate in challenging times.

1. Be Authentic: Share your personal journey and the story behind your brand. People connect with authenticity.
