We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Morgan Foresteire. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Morgan below.
Hi Morgan, thanks for joining us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Atlanta, Culinary School, in 2012 with my associate degree in baking and patisserie
I developed a deep interest in Cakes and wanted to pursue creating beautiful edible works of art that actually taste amazing!
After I graduated, I held numerous positions with different bakery locations including Cookies By Design, GiGis Cupcakes, Take A Bite Cupcakes, Smallcakes, G-Dawgs Bakery, Disney’s Epcot Resort, Publix, Target, and I was also a Pastry Chef at an Authentic Italian Restaurant.
I realize over the years that holding a full time job plus being a homebaker just wasn’t going to work. I was overworking myself and getting to the point of burn out. I wasn’t sleeping and I became very stressed.
So I made the decision to start my own small business and worked hard everyday to develop my following and skills to create the very best cakes and desserts I could do. I have grown so much over the past 14 years and have developed so many relationships with my clients that most of them have become dear friends. Their support for me is amazing and makes me feel like what I do makes a difference.

Morgan, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I believe personality really sets the tone for client relationships and trust. If someone feels that they can trust you and actually like you as a person that’s what really develops the client relationship and reinforces a great foundation. This also leads to word of mouth which is so important! I have recieved so many referrals and continued support over the years and appreciate that so much!
What I’m most proud of is my ability to follow through with everyone’s requests and orders, I still have a full time job and I’m a mom. Most days it’s non stop with work or taking on another custom order and having to juggle home life and raising a child. It seems like im always needed and at the end of the day I’m so blessed and thankful for being needed and respected for my talents.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
You have to put yourself out there, even if you feel it’s embarrassing or stupid or cringy. Someone is always watching and sharing and that’s where it starts. Once a video gets enough views it’s a snowball effect. You start getting more and more follows and likes and views. You have to stay up to date with trends and keeping the attention of the viewers. If something isn’t working change it up! Get inspired by another creator and find your niche. Hashtags help tremendously.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I honestly feel word of mouth and networking really helped me gain more and more customers and followers. People love someone who is unique and genuine. Relatable content is always a plus. Once someone likes what you have to offer and you are consistent they will like and share and show their support.
