Alright, Monica thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
My Mom taught me kindness! She raised me as a single parent. We didn’t have a lot when I was growing up but the values she taught me have made me the person I am today.

My name is Monica Jones I am a Hair Stylist, Educator, and owner of Studio Vamere. I help provide women with the resources they need to look and feel confident! I host many different events that help both men and women network and secure business opportunities!
My salon (Studio Vamere) is located in the Southeast part of Columbia SC. We have a wide array of services that include eyelash application, Protective Styling for Naturals, as well as SewIn and Tape In extensions for those who like a little extra glam. How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I’ve always tried to hold myself to a high standard. In both life and my career I strive to reflect the love and respect that I would expect from others. From this practice I have built long lasting relationships with my clients and counterparts.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
There are many different resources that have influenced my entrepreneurial mindset some of which include: Rich Dad, Poor Dad, The Intelligent Investor, and A New Earth. If there is anything that I enjoy it’s learning new perspectives!
