We recently connected with Mo’ney Roseman and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Mo’ney, thanks for joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
Throughout undergrad I was not sure what I wanted to do for certain, I just knew I wanted to work in or closely with sports. An unforgettable conversation sparked up between my brother and I regarding the athletes in our local area (Clearwater, FL) that were extremely talented but seemed to be overlooked constantly and got little to no exposure. My brother Marcus and I questioned how we could change that and how we would go about it. This conversation was in the spring of 2019, pre-COVID. We discussed numerous idea on how we can get in front of the athletes and then in turn get the athletes in front of the right people. We were excited to be even attempting to help our community get exposure into our hometown.
For about a year that idea really did not go anywhere, we went back to our regular lives, I relocated to Starkville, MS for a job and after getting settled there, the idea / conversation sparked back up. I remember expressing the idea to a various friends, family, and colleagues just to see if there was a need or use for what Watch Me Work Sports became. After a life changing experience at my job at the time, the drive to kick off Watch Me Work Sports grew.
I felt that Watch Me Work Sports would work because we had figured out how to tap into a plentiful industry that no one has grasped yet. I wish I had an assistance program like this when I was an athlete in middle and high school, and so did many of the people I asked for feedback from. I came up with the name at my desk at work one afternoon, Watch Me Work Sports, and put in for an LLC, and have not looked back since the birth of WMWS.
We wanted to help families that were looking for any help they could get when it comes to helping their children prosper into there purpose. I felt confident that we could solve many of these problems by offering the entire platform for free and still be able to provide the service and assistance that families needed. When creating the platform we tried to look at it from all angles: coaches, players, single parents / guardians, teachers, the average person who barley knows anything about sports or recruiting, with this we were able to simplify our platform in a way the anyone could understand it and reap the benefits.
Our unique approach is that we search for the underexposed and underrated athletes ourselves. Countless hours and days going through social media’s, highlights and film, hash tags, feeds, and followers have been spent trying to find these hidden gems. We do accept film and content submitted but we will always do our diligence to seek the hidden gems ourselves. Besides the entire platform and services being free, the most exciting part is receiving messages and feedback from families that utilize our recruiting exposure platform of encouragements and positivity, thanking us for just recognizing them. When we feature an athlete as athlete of the week or simply just repost their content, athletes and families are ever so grateful. We hope to continue supporting and uplifting as many athletes and families as we can.
Mo’ney, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

The individuals whom self-start and put in the work required and then some.
As a University of South Florida Graduate in Communications, I have been a part of one Division-1 PAC-12 program, The University of Arizona, two Division-1 Southeastern Conference athletic programs, Mississippi State University and The University of Florida as well as one All-American Conference athletic program with the University of South Florida. Professionally, I have been a part of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Rays, continuously studying and learning the knowledge of the athletics world. I have dedicated my life to supporting, uplifting, and changing the lives of athletes that are often not noticed but show why they should be.
My passion for sports began early in childhood when I would watch football on the weekends with my father. I took my first step into a college stadium at the age of 9 years old in 2006 when I attended the season opener at Auburn University against Washington State. Being in Jordan Hare Stadium at that age was an unforgettable experience for me. Since that magical moment, I have tried to stay as close to sports as possible. Now that I am older and did not become a collegiate athlete myself, I wanted to help athletes feel that feeling of fans coming to see them, shaking the pompoms back and forth, awaiting game time. The stage is set, put on a show. It has been a lifelong goal to assist athletes in bettering themselves and putting their talents on display.
I have spent restless years researching, trying to find the fuel to ignite the fire. Watch Me Work Sports was developed out of a pure passion for all games.
At Watch Me Work Sports, we strive for all athletes globally to feel like the greatest of all time on and off the field. Our team provides various assets to athletes that help to define setting the standard of a true go-getter. WMWS is dedicated to fueling and igniting your inner beast.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building the social media was definitely a challenge because you really just have to start. Nothing will be perfect on the first launch but at least you started. Being that our entire platform feeds off of social media and the internet, learning social media in the business way was very interesting yet challenging. I would do research on YouTube and Pinterest to find ideas on how to market your business and how to find your niche. After starting I soon found out what would work and what wouldn’t, it is going to be a lot of trial and error but that is the beauty in building a brand and business.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
I would say finding that inner passion and motivation was severely impacted by my own drive and my willingness to want to be involved and impact others in a positive way. But, there are days where you are not 100% and that is when I would turn to my mentor, Eric Thomas the motivational speaker or my father, Darrell Roseman.
Both of my mentors taught me positivity, how to stay focused, how to be a leader not a follower, how to lead by example, and much more. Aside from them two, I would read countless amounts of business articles, scroll through thousands of pins on Pinterest and watch hours on end on YouTube of business strategies and tactics to learn the business aspect that I was not familiar with before.
