We recently connected with MO Reeder and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, MO thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with talking about how you serve the underserved, because in our view this is one of the most important things the small business community does for society – by serving those who the giant corporations ignore, small business helps create a more inclusive and just world for all of us.
I co-founded a school called V School that trains and helps place folks in great jobs in tech. Our student body is 50% female and 60% US Veteran, which are greatly underserved demographics in tech. WE offer many scholarships throughout the year to serve our diverse market.

MO, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Industry needs change quickly, and V School follows their lead. We build curriculum with the help of diverse tech leaders. This keeps us aligned with what hiring managers in the tech community are looking for. Our teachers only teach the skills you will actually use in industry jobs.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
We moved our business from in person to online during covid. This was a very intense move, but in the end it worked out better for our company / student body

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
I met my current partner at a networking event in Texas. There’s more detail / funny antidotes to this story that I’d happy to share
