We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Mike Strawbridge. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Mike below.
Mike, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
The story behind my mission is find what you love to do and it will never be to late to love what you do. I never thought I would go down this route if being a personal trainer or helping others. The day I knew I could help people change their habits, ways of eating, and losing weight was the day I became passionate about being personal trainer. I didn’t know I had a natural ability for inspiring people to do better verbally, physically, and emotionally! This mission has changed me from being just an ordinary trainer. I want to help as many people as I can. The part I need is for them to want it as bad as I want it for them.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I was with a company for 11 years and I gave everything I could give to them. In hindsight my work ethic didn’t mean anything to them. I was just another employee that clocked in and out. Once I stepped into the realm of working out and saw the results on myself,I knew that I could apply that plan to help other people and turn this into a brand.
The name PHIT stands for perseverance, humility, integrity, and tenacity. Those are all things I live by everyday and my discipline.
The thing I solve for people is to get them confident to work out with free weights and proper lifting techniques. To ultimately overcome their adversity and to get their confidence back they lost, or never had to work out. To get their mind mentally and physically stronger inside the gym, so they can successfully be consistent by themselves once they get to a point to not need a trainer anymore.
What separates me from everyone else in my industry is that I’m hands on and I’m one on one! The client and I will make realistic goals to reach, and if we will sit down and reformulate again we will do so. I want to focus on my clients inside and outside the gym. I have a business but I want to also keep in mind that I want to help others so others can help the next person.
I want my brand/company PreimerePhitness to grow so well to where I’m doing every in house and I can help novelist trainer so they can get their start. It’s more to than just training someone, do you know your social media platform, networking, copywriting and marketing. So are things I’d like to teach to upcoming trainer.
What I’m most proud of is to see how my brand has grown and to see what it will grow into, my clients and there milestones in there journey means as much to me as to them.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Well during covid I had to find a way to keep my clients and myself motivated. So that entailed me coming up with something fresh and thinking outside the box. I did workouts in a field and had everyone spread out and did body weight exercises. It’s also taught me how to my market and present myself in a different ways than what normal to me.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Me being authentic, compassionate and knowing what my clients are going through because I myself was overweight and wanted to change for the better. I know what it takes because I’m with my clients putting in the work with them. There is no hierarchy..
