MICHELLE, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about serving the underserved.

Parenting is the best and hardest job in the world. We are expected to work like we don’t have children, and raise children as if we don’t work. I believe that there is a huge gaping hole in helping parents gain the tools we need to juggle these immense responsibilities. When I gave birth to my first daughter I struggled with awful post partum, it impacted my ability to make milk and I was absolutely exhausted. I needed help. I found getting help to be an expensive endeavor that we did not have money for. So I stayed in a cycle of struggle and stress. I knew there had to be a better way.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I wanted to create an affordable option for all parents to have access to online family experts. From newborn soothing support to breastfeeding to sleep coaching to child tantrum help to potty training our village of coaches are ready to help. No subscriptions, no big packages – our coaches start at $10 for a 10 minute online consultation which is more affordable that a trip to get coffee! And alot more valuable!!

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

The best source of new clients has been parenting coaches, parenting experts, and businesses that support families – wanting to offer I Help Moms affordable expert support options. Many parents don’t have hundreds of dollars to spend on traditional packages and long sessions to get help. We are so grateful to collaborate with parenting resources that understand we are here to bridge the gap for those that need affordable expert help along the parenting journey.

Creating a tech platform like I Help Moms requires determination, vision, teamwork and an extraordinary belief in the mission that all parents deserve access to affordable, online family experts. Like many start up tech businesses, we have endured limited funding for buildout, employees coming and leaving as we continue the startup journey (it’s not for the faint of heart;), the ability to evolve quickly with emerging technology, listening to feedback from coaches and users to create agile solutions and staying focused on being excellent at the main thing and not getting sidetracked. On top of being CEO, balancing being a mom of 3 myself – waking up before they wake up to get to work and then taking care of all the morning mom responsibilities, being disciplined and focused through the newborn years, preschool years, school and extracurriculars and working late into the night – all to be a present parent when they are home with me. It’s a constant juggle that is only made possible by my unwavering mission to create the world’s best parenting platform to provide affordable expert support, so ALL parents can have the tools to decrease stress, stop yelling, and create positive communication to create happy, healthy homes.
