We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mia Jones a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Mia, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you share a customer success story with us?
At Transformation Fit, I’m dedicated to helping women experience transformation in their fitness journey through their spirit, mind, and body with Christ at the center. I do that by breaking down each of my clients goals into smaller sustainable habits that will help them achieve long-term results which makes them more likely to stick with their exercise routine & develop a whole new lifestyle centered around Christ.
So far I’ve had the privilege of working with over 10 women who have each transformed into a whole new person within a short amount of time! Recently, one of my clients started an 8-week strength training program designed to help build strength & endurance, and improve her relationship with the Lord spiritually. Within three weeks of entering the program, she’s already achieved one of her goals and lost 8 lbs just by staying consistent & disciplined. She’s also grown spiritually and mentally because despite the challenges she’s already faced, she still chose to show up and complete each workout every week.
This is the transformation that I stand for as the owner of Transformation Fit & I strive to continue to make an impact on the lives of other women so they can experience transformation through their spirit, mind, and body!

Mia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Mia, the owner of Transformation Fit, a fitness coaching business dedicated to helping women transform their spirit, mind, and body through their faith & fitness with Christ at the center! Transformation Fit is founded on the scripture Romans 12:2 which urges us to not be conformed to this world but to be transformed by the renewing of our mind, which is what I stand by in helping women grab a hold of the truth of God’s word to experience real transformation and be all who God has called us to be.
My journey towards transformation began when I was younger & it started with how I viewed food, exercise, and my body. The world we live in today fantasizes & glorifies everything that’s against God’s will and purpose for our lives. Specifically, the world has cheated us from believing who we are in Christ and where our self-worth lies. Magazines, TV shows, social media influencers, and celebrities are shown constantly, portraying an “ideal” version of beauty. They want us to believe that you have to look a certain way, be of a certain weight, be thick, or thin, have a small body type, or even shed some inches off your waist to be considered beautiful (at least in the eyes of the world). These are all lies from the enemy and lies that I once believed and allowed to control me.
Since I was a kid, I was always skinny & thin, but as I got older I started developing hips and curves. I started to see the fat on my stomach, jiggle on my thighs, & how “thick” I believed I’d gotten. My teenage self would examine every aspect of my body in the mirror and judge its appearance. In response to the lies I’ve come to believe, I started viewing food and exercise differently. I didn’t restrict the food I ate, but I demonized and labeled a lot of foods as bad while others were good. Exercise began to feel like a chore rather than something fun. I had the impression at the age of 13 that I needed to change my body to fit the mold & standard that society deemed as beautiful & worthy. Thinking this way for so long has misaligned my thoughts from what God calls me & views me as versus what the world and society think I should be. As I’ve gone through life, I realized how damaging my mind became and how those thoughts influenced every area of my life. It wasn’t until I decided to not allow those thoughts to take ahold of my life & choose to believe what God says about me that I began to see real transformation. Now I help other women break free from the lies they’ve once believed and grab ahold of the truth so they can be free and experience transformation.
I help women experience transformation by breaking down their goals into smaller sustainable habits that will lead to long-lasting results instead of seeking a quick fix, only to not resolve the root of their problem. Habit-building techniques include weekly devotionals to help my clients grow spiritually, a tailored strength training program, nutrition guidance & meal planning, a community of women to support each other, weekly check-ins, and 100% of my support along the way. I also host group fitness classes within the DFW area to provide an outlet and space for women to grow in community while still working towards achieving their fitness goals.
Transformation is possible for every woman to achieve, but it starts with what we choose to believe!

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Social media is a great source to gain new clients & prospects who are interested in the services I offer! Instagram has been a wonderful platform to reach new audiences and attract them to my brand, as I’ve successfully attracted a few new clients just from this platform alone. Word of mouth and connecting with friends has also been another great source of new clients.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Transformation Fit is all about community and connecting with one another as we’re all on our journey towards transformation! To build community and keep in touch with one another, I have an app that my clients and I communicate through with multiple chat threads for us to share our weekly wins, successes, and stories. We also engage in weekly devotionals and encourage one another as best we can to uplift everyone up during the week.
