Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Meosha Jacobs. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Meosha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?
As a real estate agent with a passion for personal branding and connecting with clients, managing my own social media has been an integral part of my success. When I started my career and online store, I faced budget constraints that prevented me from hiring a social media manager. However, that limitation turned into an opportunity as I embarked on a journey to become the voice of my brand on social media.
Initially, the idea of managing my own social media seemed daunting. I had limited knowledge of the platforms and tools available, but my determination to create a strong personal brand pushed me to educate myself. Countless hours were spent watching tutorials on YouTube, and I honed my design skills using Canva to craft eye-catching graphics and visuals for my posts.
The choice to manage my social media personally was primarily driven by two factors: control and authenticity. By being directly involved in creating and curating content, I have complete control over the messaging and branding, ensuring it aligns with my personality and values. This level of authenticity has resonated with my audience, as they get a genuine glimpse into who I am as a person and how I can assist them in their real estate needs.
One of the significant advantages of self-managing my social media has been the ability to establish a unique voice and a consistent brand image. I understand my target audience and the kind of content that appeals to them. With a hands-on approach, I can tailor my posts to deliver valuable information, showcase my expertise, and cultivate meaningful connections with potential clients.
The results of managing my social media have been incredibly rewarding. I’ve witnessed a substantial increase in engagement, website traffic, and lead generation. Clients have expressed their appreciation for the personal touch and transparent communication that they experience through my social media presence. By sharing my knowledge, insights, and successes, I have built a sense of trust with my audience, which has translated into successful client relationships.
For other business owners, especially in the real estate industry, contemplating whether to manage their own social media or outsource it, I would offer the following insights:
Embrace Authenticity: Your audience wants to connect with a real person, not a faceless brand. Embrace your unique personality, values, and expertise to build a genuine connection with potential clients.
Be Consistent: Regularly posting high-quality content is essential for maintaining engagement and building a loyal following. Consistency helps establish trust and credibility with your audience.
Understand Your Audience: Know your target audience’s preferences, pain points, and interests. Tailor your content to address their needs and provide valuable insights.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a dedicated real estate agent with a passion for serving others and a genuine love for homes. My journey into this industry has been shaped by a combination of my experiences as a former hairstylist, an online store owner, and my desire to make a positive impact on people’s lives.
My career in the beauty industry taught me the value of personalized service and the importance of building meaningful connections with clients. I carried this customer-centric approach with me when I ventured into the world of entrepreneurship, managing my own online store. Throughout these endeavors, I nurtured my passion for serving others, but my love for homes remained constant.
The turning point in my life came when I purchased my first home. Experiencing the stability and security that homeownership brought to my life ignited a deep sense of purpose. I realized that helping others find their dream homes and creating a foundation for their futures was my calling.
As a real estate agent, my primary goal is to guide my clients through one of the most significant decisions of their lives – buying or selling a home. I provide a comprehensive range of services, including assisting clients in finding their perfect property, marketing properties for sellers, negotiating offers, and navigating the intricacies of the real estate transaction process.
The core problem I aim to solve for my clients is to simplify the often overwhelming process of buying or selling a home. I understand that the real estate market can be complex, and emotions can run high during such transactions. My mission is to be a reliable and understanding partner for my clients, providing expert advice, transparent communication, and unwavering support every step of the way.
What sets me apart from others in the industry is my hands-on approach to social media and personal branding. As a former online store owner, I’ve honed my skills in managing my own social media platforms, crafting engaging content, and connecting with my audience authentically. This expertise translates into an ability to showcase properties in a compelling and captivating manner, reaching a wider audience and creating meaningful connections with potential buyers.
I am most proud of the moments when I witness the joy and fulfillment in my clients’ faces when they find their dream home or successfully close a deal. The feeling of knowing that I’ve played a part in providing them with a place they can call their own is incredibly rewarding.
For potential clients, followers, and fans, I want them to know that my approach is founded on empathy, integrity, and a dedication to excellence. I prioritize understanding my clients’ unique needs and preferences, tailoring my services to meet their specific requirements. I firmly believe that a successful real estate transaction goes beyond the sale; it’s about building lasting relationships based on trust and mutual respect.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
As a hairstylist and proud owner of a hair salon, I lived and breathed my passion for beauty and making people feel their best. However, fate had a different plan for me, and it all began with the unexpected diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome.
The news of needing wrist surgery was not only shocking but also disheartening. My entire career had revolved around my hands, and the thought of not being able to do what I loved filled me with a mix of emotions. The doctor’s advice to consider changing careers was like a heavy blow, and I found myself at a crossroads.
Despite the devastation, I was determined not to let this setback define me. My motivation soared, and I knew I had to find a way to adapt and continue pursuing my dreams. That’s when I made a bold decision to pivot my business focus. I stopped doing hair behind the chair and ventured into the world of e-commerce, launching my very own online store specializing in wig sales.
The journey into the online business realm was both challenging and rewarding. I embraced the learning curve, delving into the intricacies of online marketing, customer engagement, and e-commerce logistics. My passion for serving others and providing them with high-quality products remained steadfast, and the positive feedback from my customers kept me motivated.
However, despite the success of my online store, I faced a new obstacle on my path to homeownership. The income from my online venture, while fulfilling in many ways, wasn’t quite enough to meet the requirements for purchasing my dream home. It was yet another pivotal moment that demanded careful consideration.
I decided to draw upon my educational background and leverage my degree in Human Resources. I knew this was an opportunity to diversify my skillset and explore new avenues. As a recruiter for tech giants like Apple, Amazon, and Microsoft, I thrived in a dynamic environment, connecting with talented individuals and helping them find meaningful career opportunities.
The steady income from my recruitment job finally allowed me to achieve my goal of purchasing my own home. It was a proud moment, knowing that I had overcome challenges and secured stability for my future. But I didn’t stop there; my entrepreneurial spirit continued to burn bright.
With my home secured and a newfound confidence, I dedicated myself to nurturing my online store, which flourished under my care and attention. As my business continued to grow, I realized that my passion for homes and my desire to help others find their dream properties were calling me in a new direction.
That’s when I made yet another pivotal decision, transitioning full-time into the real estate industry. It felt like the perfect blend of my love for homes and my genuine interest in serving others. Becoming a real estate agent was a natural fit, and I’m so happy to be doing something I love everyday
Through these series of pivots, I’ve learned the importance of embracing change, staying resilient in the face of adversity, and pursuing passions with unwavering determination. Each shift in my journey has opened new doors, taught me valuable lessons, and ultimately led me to a fulfilling career in real estate.
Today, I take pride in my ability to adapt, grow, and serve my clients in this dynamic industry. My story is a testament to the power of embracing change, finding strength in challenging times, and building a career that aligns with one’s passions and purpose.
