We were lucky to catch up with Meaghan recently and have shared our conversation below.
Meaghan, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was leaving the comfort of a steady job to fully step into my own business. At the time, I was working at a franchise in the beauty industry. It was stable, and I had consistent income, which made it hard to walk away because I had bills and responsibilities to keep up with. I knew deep down that I wanted more for myself professionally, but comfort can make it easy to stay where you are.
I believe God knew that if I waited for the “perfect” moment, I probably wouldn’t leave because the security of that job felt safe. So one day I made what felt like a very bold and slightly scary decision. Even though I was scheduled to work my regular job the next day, I opened my personal books for clients anyway and allowed people to start booking with me.
Almost immediately, my schedule began to fill up. What stood out to me the most was that the total amount of the appointments that booked matched almost exactly the amount of a bill that I needed to pay at the time. That moment felt like confirmation to me that I was making the right move and that I was being supported in stepping out on faith.
That experience taught me a lot about risk. Sometimes the biggest barrier is not opportunity, but our own comfort with what feels secure. Taking that step pushed me to trust both my preparation and my faith. Since then, I’ve continued to grow my business and develop confidence in betting on myself.
Looking back, that risk changed the trajectory of my career. It reminded me that when preparation, faith, and action meet, the results can be bigger than what you originally imagined.

Meaghan, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My journey into the beauty industry and entrepreneurship was truly built on faith, courage, and trusting God even when the path felt uncertain. I am a licensed esthetician specializing in waxing, brows, lashes, and skincare services. My brand is centered around providing a luxury self-care experience for women who value confidence, cleanliness, and high-quality service.
For a long time, I worked under a franchise. It was stable, predictable, and comfortable. Like many people, I stayed because I had responsibilities—bills to pay, a child to care for, and life obligations that made stepping out feel risky. Even though I knew I was capable of more, comfort can sometimes keep you from the calling meant for you.
One day, I made what felt like a risky and very spontaneous decision. I opened my personal booking schedule for the next day, even though I was supposed to be working my shift at the franchise. I remember thinking, “Let me just see what happens.” What happened next confirmed everything for me. My books started filling up with clients almost immediately. By the time the schedule was full, the total amount I was projected to make matched exactly the amount of a bill I needed to pay at that moment. That experience was the confirmation I needed. It felt like God reminding me that if I trusted Him and stepped out in faith, He would provide.
That moment changed everything. It showed me that sometimes we stay where we are because it feels safe, but purpose requires faith and action.
Today, through my business, I provide high-quality waxing, skincare, and beauty services that help women feel confident, polished, and cared for. I focus heavily on client experience—creating an environment where women feel comfortable, respected, and elevated. Many of my clients come to me not just for a service, but for a moment of self-care in their busy lives.
What sets me apart is the intention behind everything I do. I treat my business as both a service and a ministry of confidence. My goal is not just to provide beauty services, but to help women feel their best in their own skin.
I’m also passionate about growth and education within the beauty industry. As an entrepreneur, I strive to build something bigger than just a service-based business—something that inspires other women to believe in themselves, take risks, and pursue the vision God has placed on their hearts.
What I am most proud of is having the courage to trust God and bet on myself. Building this brand while balancing motherhood, personal growth, and professional development has taught me resilience, faith, and discipline.
At the core of my brand is a simple message: when faith meets action, incredible things can happen.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
One of the biggest pivots in my life was deciding to go back to school and pursue a career in healthcare. I was already established as a licensed esthetician and business owner, which I truly enjoy, but I felt a deeper calling to expand my impact and challenge myself in a new way. As a single mother, making the decision to return to school while running a business and raising my child required a lot of courage, discipline, and faith.
The transition wasn’t easy. Balancing school, clinicals, business responsibilities, and motherhood forced me to grow in ways I hadn’t before. There were moments of stress and uncertainty, but I remained committed to the bigger vision I had for my future and for my son.
Choosing healthcare allowed me to combine my passion for helping others with a long-term career path that provides stability and growth. This pivot taught me resilience, time management, and the importance of betting on yourself even when the road ahead feels challenging.
Looking back, it was one of the most transformative decisions I’ve made, and it continues to shape the direction of my personal and professional journey.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I started my business with a very small amount of capital but a lot of faith and determination. My mom helped me with an initial startup “loan” of $400, which allowed me to purchase the basic supplies and tools I needed to begin servicing clients. I used that money very strategically, focusing only on the essentials to get started.
From there, I relied heavily on hard work, consistency, and reinvesting what I made back into the business. As I began building my clientele, every appointment helped me grow little by little. What started with just $400 eventually turned into a steady stream of clients and a growing business. That initial support from my mom, combined with my commitment to making it work, gave me the foundation I needed to launch and continue building my brand.
