We were lucky to catch up with Maurice Alpharicio recently and have shared our conversation below.
Maurice, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I found my passion at an early age, 4yrs old to be exact. My first solo was at my Pre-K graduation, I sang The Temptations’ hit “My Girl”. I’ve been singing ever since.

Maurice, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My dad was a huge inspiration when it came to becoming a full time creative. From him being a singer, actor, dancer and filmmaker. He did it all. I must say, it was truly a blessing having a dad around who was musically inclined when I was growing up. He definitely helped me become a well-rounded and disciplined artist, whilst instilling in me that I can have anything I desire as long as I put in the work.
I’m most proud of making my first National Tour Debut in TINA – The Tina Turner Musical. I’m playing the role of Raymond Earl King.
My work ethic and constant grind sets me apart from others, I’m always doing something that’ll help me further myself in this industry.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to unlearn second guessing myself. Once I stopped second guessing myself, I really started to excel in this industry. It allowed me to walk in my audition rooms with expectancy and more confidence in the material.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Actually no, I feel everything I learned was right on time. I’m a firm believer that timing is everything.
