We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Matthew Nuesse. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Matthew below.
Hi Matthew, thanks for joining us today. One deeply underappreciated facet of entrepreneurship is the kind of crazy stuff we have to deal with as business owners. Sometimes it’s crazy positive sometimes it’s crazy negative, but crazy experiences unite entrepreneurs regardless of industry. Can you share a crazy story with our readers?
One of our clients was a few months into his program and had lost a considerable amount of weight. Here was feeling better moving and his stamina was better so he decided to take a trip to Europe. We were all very excited for him tat he was able to do something like this for himself. Unfortunately while traveling abroad he had a heart attack. He was treated and when he returned home his doctor told him that if he hadn’t started a program with us and lost all of the weight that the heart attack would have certainly killed him. He is fully recovered today and continues to be an inspiration to us.
Matthew, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I began my career treating patients with all sorts of conditions, from diabetes to high blood pressure. I quickly realized that most of these patients would greatly benefit from simply reducing their weight. I then shifted focus to trying to improve my patients health rather than simply treating there conditions. Through research and 10+ years of trial and error I developed my own weight loss system “Brand NUE”. We have literally helped 1000’s of people lose 100’s of thousands of pounds. Even more importantly we have helped our clients improve their health and the quality of their lives. We continue to evolve and are now working with clients from all across the country.
Have you ever had to pivot?
Everything with our business was running smoothly and then 2020 happened. With most of our clients being significantly overweight and therefore immunocompromised we could not have them in the office for an extended period of time. It was during this period that we really focused on developing the technology side of our business that allowed us to service clients from their home. This has allowed us to expand our reach far beyond those that live near our offices.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Our reputation was build on the quality of our products and services as well as how we service our clients. I don’t believe in taking any shortcuts that may sacrifice the integrity of our brand. I like the saying “if you build a better mousetrap people will beat a path to your front door”. Having a high quality product and treating the client exceptionally is a combination that can’t miss in business.
