We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Master Clarice Chan. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Master Clarice below.
Alright, Master Clarice thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Getting that first client is always an exciting milestone. Can you talk to us about how you got your first customer who wasn’t a friend, family, or acquaintance?
I spent 17 years in the travel industry before making a life-changing decision in 2000 to step into the holistic field. Deep down, I felt a calling to create a life that was more aligned with my well-being and purpose.
The beginning was far from easy. Building a client base from scratch took time, patience, and resilience. Because I have always loved animals, I started offering pet care and pet sitting services to create a small but steady income while nurturing my dream.
It took about three years before things began to gain traction. During that period, I showed up wherever I could — fairs, events, and small gatherings — offering Tarot readings and healing sessions. It was not just about earning; it was about being seen, building trust, and finding my place in the market.

Master Clarice , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My brand, Master Clarice Chan, has since evolved into a reflection of both my personal journey and professional practice. At the heart of my work is what I call Celestial Feng Shui — an approach that integrates Feng Shui, Chinese Astrology, and intuitive insight to align space, energy, and destiny. I focus on helping clients create meaningful and tangible shifts in their lives, whether through their homes, businesses, or personal timing.
Over the years, my work has taken me beyond Singapore to countries such as Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Indonesia, and eventually onto international platforms. Since 2012, I have participated in global expos across New Zealand, Australia, the UK, and the USA. I began presenting at the Los Angeles Conscious Life Expo in 2014 and have continued returning annually, sharing my work with a wider audience.
With over two decades of experience, I have also authored 21 books, including my latest publication, Master Clarice Chan’s Guide to 2026 – Year of the Yang Fire Horse. Digital version here: https://payhip.com/b/VeSxf
What sets me apart is my ability to bridge ancient metaphysical sciences with modern-day living in a way that is both practical and accessible. While many perceive this work as abstract, I focus on delivering clarity and real-life application, so my clients can experience tangible results rather than just concepts.
I am most proud of the fact that my journey was built from the ground up — through perseverance, trust, and genuine connection with people. Everything I have created has grown organically, from small beginnings to an international presence, without losing the authenticity of my work.
What I would like people to know is that my practice is not just about Feng Shui or Astrology — it is about transformation. It is about helping individuals align with the right timing, environment, and energy so they can move forward in life with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.
At its core, my work is guided by authenticity, lifelong learning, and a deep commitment to helping others create meaningful change in their lives.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I began my journey in the holistic field in 1997, and in 2000, I made the bold decision to step away from my corporate role as a Travel Manager to fully pursue this path.
Choosing the holistic route was one of the most challenging phases of my life. Unlike the corporate world, where results are tangible and clearly defined, this work is often unseen and deeply personal. Because of that, it was not easy to position my services, charge what my time and expertise were worth, or attract the right clients who truly understood the value of the work.
There were moments of uncertainty, but what carried me through was a strong sense of self-belief and a deep trust that this path was part of my calling. I learned to stand firm in my worth, to honour my skills, and to remain patient as I built my practice step by step.
Looking back, that period shaped not only my business, but also my resilience. It taught me that when you truly believe in what you do, and stay committed to your path, the right opportunities and people will eventually align with you.

Can you talk to us about how you funded your business?
In the early 2000s in Singapore, I knew that to be taken seriously in the holistic field, I needed a dedicated space. While working from home was possible, it simply did not convey the professional presence I wanted for my clients.
Determined to make my vision a reality, I began saving carefully, setting aside enough to sustain myself for six to nine months. At the same time, I took on pet care jobs as a side line—not just to earn, but to create a stable foundation while I built my brand from the ground up.
Every aspect of my business was self-funded, from securing a professional space in Singapore to developing my services and reaching my first clients. Looking back, that period was a true test of perseverance and commitment. It taught me that when you believe in your vision, you find ways to make it happen—even when the path is uncertain.
