We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Mariella Falls. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Mariella below.
Mariella , appreciate you joining us today. Talk to us about building your team? What was it like? What were some of the key challenges and what was your process like?
When I first started MBM it was just me. I was still learning all about the industry and business. Once I really started digging deep I realized how important it is as a business owner to not just have an employee but also an entire village of support. That’s when I started posting about hiring. I got many applications and did many interviews. It was so important to me to find someone who was as passionate about making someone’s day perfect. So o searched and searched after months I found a couple ladies I was really interested in. I contact them via phone and chatted and then we met at a local coffee shop to get to know each other more. I think it’s super important to know your staff on both a professional and personal level . We immediately clicked and I knew from there on I found some of the most genuine girls to call family here at MBM. We are here 4 years later with a team of 6 amazing women who are ready to not only help you through the wedding process but also be your built in best friend and biggest cheerleader! I’m so thankful and blessed to have my village!

Mariella , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Any advice for managing a team?
Some advice I would give about managing a team is have rules and follow them but also treat them how you want to be treated. This is so important! Value your employees. It takes a village and a true team to run a business.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Post post post! It’s so crucial with social media to keep up and post even if you start with 0 likes or 0 following. The more you post and engage the more followers.
It may feel over the top at first but this is how you reach others!
I also did give aways like tagging people in a post when I first started
