Malachi , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’re complete cheeseballs and so we love asking folks to share the most heartwarming moment from their career – do you have a touching moment you can share with us?
Malachi’s first seizure occurred when he was just two years old. Marvelously emerging from this a small child with a big heart. Throughout the course of nearly a decade of his childhood living with his epilepsy diagnosis, Malachi’s mission has focused on the belief that “it’s great to do stuff for kids. When I was in the hospital, people helped me.” therefore he has dedicated his foundation to servicing the Savannah community and beyond with awareness, resources, and support especially to other children living with epilepsy. He loves giving back to help others, particularly in partnership to the Dwaine & Cynthia Willet Children’s Hospital of Savannah and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Malachi Marvelous is a beacon of hope and resilience in Savannah, Georgia. As a differently-abled child diagnosed with epilepsy, Malachi has faced numerous challenges. However, instead of letting these obstacles define him, he has chosen to fight the stigma against childhood epilepsy head-on. Through his foundation, the Marvelous Kids Epilepsy Research Foundation, Malachi is showcasing how his differences make him marvelous rather than inferior.
The Marvelous Kids Epilepsy Research Foundation is more than just an organization; it is a movement aimed at uplifting the community. By providing resources, support, and education about epilepsy, the foundation is changing the narrative around this condition. Malachi’s story is at the heart of this mission. His courage and determination inspire others to see the strengths and potential in every child. Regardless of limiting beliefs about what makes him different, Malachi uplifts children with epilepsy by educating all that if you have a brain you can have a seizure making his mission a fight for all!
Through various programs and initiatives, the foundation is making a tangible impact. From funding groundbreaking research to organizing community events that foster inclusivity and understanding, Malachi and his team are dedicated to creating a world where every child feels valued and celebrated. In Savannah and beyond, the Marvelous Kids Epilepsy Research Foundation is proving that differences can indeed make us marvelous.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Epilepsy is a neurological disorder in which the brain cells send abnormal signals and cause a seizure. In 2015 Malachi had his first seizure at two years old and was faced with how his diagnosis lacked support, resources and understanding. Malachi’s commitment to filling those gaps for other children is a testimony to his resilience. Malachi marvelously shows those around him the beauty within a pure heart “Malachi wants to make other kids happy. The foundation makes that happen” There’ase Roberts said of her son and the Marvelous Kids Foundation.

How’d you meet your business partner?
In 2016 The Marvelous Kids foundation, a 501 (c) nonprofit, was founded in honor of Malachi by CEO Jonathan Johnson. Who is also Malachi’s uncle showcasing how one child diagnosed with epilepsy rocks, the whole family, and the support system of the child can make a big impact. Johnson spearhead the cause after seeing the effects of epilepsy on his nephew. He sought to make a difference in the lives of all children affected by the disorder. “ This means the world to me. I want to show the kids that this makes them unique and daring, and not that they are alone.. I want to show them that they are not limited and can do things like other kids. I want them to see that they are loved and not helpless,” he said.
