Majo, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Our Mission is to provide the highest quality snacks that are always simple, nutritionally balanced, tasty and can fit most dietary restrictions. As a Mom and Holistic nutritionist I started paying more attention to what people will go for as a snack. I made a list of everything that I saw missing in other protein bars and snacks and gathered all the ingredients that I believe would make a great nutritious snack and recipe after recipe . We came out with our 3 flavors then 3 years later we introduced Our Kids Line.
Midi bites are always made with very little ingredients, everyone is added for a reason to complete the bite, never highly processed ingredients, Certified Non GMO and gluten free, vegan. Also we made sure to offer any one with nut allergies a product so we have our chocolate bites 100% nut free.
Our kids Line came after noticing that the most common snacks in schools are candy or chips and the protein bars on the market either have a lot of preservatives, high in sugar or simply made with nuts and none of that helps kids focus in school or keep them full and nourished . so we created the Midi Kids which are 100% Organic, nut free and will not raise their sugar levels . Also have 6 grams of Protein in each bag.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
My name is Majo Mansour, I am a Holistic nutritionist, Kids Nutrition specialist, Mom of Christian and Luna and Founder of Midi Bites !! I am extremely passionate about food, where it comes from, how it changes in color, flavor and nutrition benefits it gives everyone. When I became a mom my idea on food changed and with the busy day to day lifestyle that everyone has made me think there has to be a more convenient and time saving solution for an on the go snack that will be good for the body. This is when Midi Bites started, Less sugar, vegan, gluten free, never chalky, never added preservatives or stabilizers, organic and non gmo ingredients and most of all made in bite sizes so you can enjoy as many or as little you want and keep them sealed to maintain freshness.
Everyday when I see our Bites in the stores I feel so proud, honored and grateful to be able to provide a high quality product to a lot of people. Every bite is made with so much care, attention and regardless of supply chain difficulties or increase in pricing we will never compromise on the quality of our ingredients .
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I was so lucky and so grateful from the beginning to be surrounded by an amazing team that truly believed in and loved Midi Bites so much. Between demos, farmers markets and events our passion when explaining and talking about why and how different our products are made all the difference. Don’t Get me wrong there are some great products on the market but I truly believe that quality, transparency and customer satisfaction makes all the difference.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The Most source of new clients has been word of mouth and from grocery store demos.
