We were lucky to catch up with Maegan Bereal recently and have shared our conversation below.

Maegan, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you come up with the idea for your business?

GOD gave my sister the name and HE had been giving me the drawings and what to do for a while. GOD has gifted me with creativity and so I really like creating stuff and drawing. It’s something really worth doing because it’s spreading the Gospel and teaching GODS WORD while doing something I really like to do.

Maegan, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

The business GOD gave me is GOD Created Mae’Kn and what we do is Faith-Based stationary & fashion. My mom has a business so GOD has her teaching me and my sisters what to do and how to handle the business GOD gave us. I draw characters of different ethnicity’s, mainly Black and Asian characters. I add Scripture to the artworks and give them out to family and friends. GOD gave me a Dream/Vision and in it I was drawing at a cafe and someone told me that I need to sell my art before it’s too late. So that’s what i’m now doing, making art and spreading the Gospel as JESUS told us to do.

Can you talk to us about manufacturing? How’d you figure it all out? We’d love to hear the story.

When I first started someone had gifted me a Cricut maker, and we had a printer so that’s what I used to make stickers, art prints, stationary plus I designed clothes with Scripture and my drawings. Now GOD let me have a Cricut maker 3, a Cricut heat-press and a Canon printer, that’s what I now use to make my stickers and all the stuff I do. Right now I use Printful until GOD let’s me make enough money to manufacture my own items.

How’d you think through whether to sell directly on your own site or through a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc.

Right now I sell on Printful and on Etsy, both are good for selling and when GOD blesses me with more money I want to start making the products myself, having my own website and manufacturing facility with a Storefront.
